Infrastructure Revamp: The consultant will be involved in all the
revamping process of the data centre infrastructure, including selecting
appropriate hardware, networking equipment, and software solutions. This
will involve considerations for scalability, redundancy, performance, and
cost-effectiveness.
2. Assessment and Analysis: The consultant would begin by assessing the
current state of the data centre infrastructure, including hardware,
software, networking, security, and operational processes.
3. Strategy Development: Based on the assessment, the consultant would
work with the vendor to develop a strategic plan for revamping the data
centre. This will include determining goals, identifying technologies and
solutions to implement, and creating a timeline for implementation.
4. Migration Planning: The consultant would help plan and execute the
migration process. This will include hardware migration and testing to
ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations.
5. Security and Compliance: The consultant would help ensure that the
revamped data centre meets industry best practices and compliance
requirements for data security and privacy.
6. Optimization and Performance Tuning: Once the new infrastructure is
in place, the consultant will work with the vendor to optimize and fine-tune
the performance of the data centre, ensuring that it meets the
organization's needs efficiently.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Throughout the revamping process, the
consultant would maintain detailed documentation of the changes made,
configurations, and procedures. They might also provide regular reports to
stakeholders on the progress of the project.
8. Number of Visits: The consultant will be bound to perform minimum
2number of visits per week during the project execution. Consultant will
also bound to attend all pre execution meetings with the vendor.
9. Post-Implementation Support: The consultant will provide ongoing
support to address any issues that arise and to help the organization
optimize and evolve the data centre as needed for at least 6 months.
10. Revamping work will include designing of following
solutions for the LEPCL Data Centre;
a. Provision of EMS.
b. Provision of Cooling System specifically for Data Centre.
c. Designing of fire suppression system as per Data Centre standard.
d. Provision of access control.
e. Dust proofing through proper insulation of Data Centre area. Closing
and sealing of all openings on Server room floor so that no air scape
from server room to lower floors or Vise versa.
f. SLA planning with the vendor for at least 3 years.
g. Solution for Raising Floor.
h. Designing of Proper Power distribution solution dedicated to data
center specifics.
i. Designing of comprehensive Access Management system for Data
Center.
j. Removal of extra doors and fill the gap with blocks and concrete.
k. Water proofing and sealing of all windows in Server room with proper
sealant from inside.
l. Providing and fixing of full height Aluminium Glass partition.
m. Server room anti-static paint work. Complete in all aspects.
n. Proper solution of exiting racks to maintain proper cooling as data
center standards.
