GENERAL GUIDELINES

• STEM EXPO, 2024 will be held on 25th & 26th April 2024.

• A student can participate in only ONE event.

• Registration timings: 8.30 AM – 9:30 AM.

• Each team must be accompanied by a staff member.

• Only one team per school is allowed to participate in an event.

• The school that participates in all events will be eligible for the STEM Expo 24 rolling
trophy.

• Students must attend the event in their school uniform.

• During the event, teams must introduce themselves using their school code which will
be assigned by host school at the registration desk.

• The content of any submission must not be plagiarized. Plagiarism will lead to
disqualification.

• The verdict of the judges will be final and binding.

• On the day of the event all teams must bring their own devices/accessories

EVENT OVERVIEW:

This competition is a tribute to the technological marvels in the realm of innovation .


However, our emphasis lies in celebrating the essence of Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs). Hence, your technological innovations should lean towards constructive rather than
destructive impacts under given themes.

Each team will get a maximum of 6 minutes for their product pitch (including product
design, advertisement, and finance), followed by Q&A with judges.

NOTE: Teams will submit their idea via email, in form of PRODUCT PROPOSAL FILE For Pre-
submission by 15th Apr 2024 on [email protected] as per the attached
template(Template- Innovix.docx)

PRODUCT DESIGN:

Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and applications in real world.
ADVERTISING:
Team will create and present an advertisement along with a logo for their product.

Submission Guidelines:
VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT AND LOGO PRESENTATION:
• Requirements:
I. Highlight all main features and Unique Selling Proposition
(USP) of the product.
II. Adhere to the AIDA marketing model.
III. Submission in MP4 format.
IV. Videos will be showcased before all teams and a panel of
judges.
V. Logo must be in GIF format and complement the product
design and advertisement.
FINANCE:
Investor Pitch Session Guidelines:
• Pitch Content: Clearly present financial aspects, key metrics, market analysis,
and future projections during the pitch.

EVENT OVERVIEW:
Join the thrilling Robo Car Race and vie for the coveted title of EXPO TRACK CHAMPION!
Participants will showcase their engineering prowess and programming skills as they
navigate their robotic cars through a challenging track filled with hurdles and obstacles. Each
team's mission is to demonstrate precision, agility, and innovation as they race towards the
finish line.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
• Prepare your Wireless Robotic All-Terrain Vehicle: Teams must come with a self-made
robotic car to compete in the race.

• Navigate through the Obstacle Course: Take on the challenging obstacle course and
showcase your vehicle's maneuverability and agility. The total lap time will be
aggregated to determine the final winner.

• Penalty for Manhandling: Each instance of manhandling incurs a +5 second penalty


to the total time, so precision and control are key. Violation of rules or cheating in
any way will lead to immediate disqualification.

• The Robo-Race is a timed competition where a team of three students must prepare
and bring a remote-controlled wireless robot that can navigate an obstacle course.

• Size specifications: Not more than L x B x H- 30cm x 25cm x 15cm

• Weight Specifications: 1 kgs to 1.5 kg.


NOTE: Non-compliance with size and weight specifications will result in
disqualification

Theme Technology as a Helping Hand for Society: An
Educational Tool

EVENT OVERVIEW:
Let’s dive into the world of app development with App-Mania! Participants will harness the
power of technology to create innovative apps that serve as educational tools, addressing
real-world challenges and making a positive impact on society.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

• Each team must develop a unique app based on the provided theme.
• Time duration to develop the APP is 1.5 hrs followed by Judges Q/A round.
• The app must be the original work of the participant and plagiarism will result in
disqualification.
• Participant will present the app in front of judges explaining features and
functionality of the app. (Presentation time = 3 min)
• The judge's decision will be final and binding.

EVENT OVERVIEW:
Step into the future of music production with Robo Groove! In this electrifying event, students
will harness their creativity to compose an electronic music track tailored for robot dance
performances. Don't miss out on this exhilarating opportunity to blend technology and
creativity in an electrifying musical showcase!
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
• Each team will consist of 1 participant.
• Each team will carry their own laptop device for audio editing. (Note: Headphones
are compulsory)
• Sound samples of rhythm/melody/FX will be provided by the host school on the day
of competition.
• Participants must not use their own sound samples or any VST (Virtual Studio
Technology).
• Teams are free to use any Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).

PRE-SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Teams should submit a brief document outlining the mathematical concept, design process,
and educational significance of their model.

• Collaborative effort is encouraged, combining math with real life concepts.

• Models should demonstrate a clear understanding of the chosen concept.

• Each team will get 3 minutes to present their model.

EVENT OVERVIEW:
Explore the Science and Society Exhibition—an immersive showcase of innovation and
impact! Discover how science shapes our world, with groundbreaking research and solutions
tackling global challenges. Join us for inspiration and empowerment.
PRE-SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
The participating team is required to submit a brief write-up of the model/exhibit (150
words) for pre submission in the given template which include scientific concept, design
process, and educational significance of their model.
NOTE: Teams will submit their concept via email, in the form of WORD FILE For Pre-
submission by 15th Apr 2024 on [email protected]) as per given template

EVENT GUIDELINES:

• All interested schools must register online to participate. Each participating


school can register a maximum of ONE team, of TWO participants.
• The project may include:
o An investigation-based study
o Application of basic principles of Science and Technology
o A novel solution or indigenous design addressing a problem or challenge.

• Eco-friendly materials should be used in the preparation of exhibits.


• Each school will be provided with a stall of dimension 4x4 ft. Exhibits are to
be displayed strictly within the stall.
• Teams must submit project details (title, description, materials list) by PRE-
submission deadline (April 15, 2024). Shortlisted teams will get confirmation
email as entries will undergo screening before the exhibition day.
• Students must come well equipped and carry all basic stationery and other
items required for the exhibition. Host school will not provide any kind of
stationery, or any other item required for the exhibit.

NOTE: Each team will be provided with one power plug with a 5-ampere
power supply.
