Instructions and Checklist

Applications for a military service academy nomination from Congresswoman Fletcher need to be submitted by
Friday, November 1, 2024, by 5:00PM. Late applications will not be accepted.

Required Materials

PART I
☐ Application for nomination: Complete entire application form. Be sure to sign and date.
•Please provide a recent photograph

PART II
☐ Recommendation Letters: Please provide 3 letters of recommendation from people who know you
personally. Letters should not by written by any relative.

PART III
☐ Resume: Submit a one-page resume that includes extracurricular activities and employment history starting
in 9th grade.

PART IV
☐ Essay: Submit a one-page essay on the topic: “What does military service mean to you personally?”

PART V
☐ Materials from your school
☐ Official academic transcripts from all high schools and/or colleges attended
☐ Standardized test scores (ACT or SAT – may be included on your transcript)

Please email, mail, or bring in your completed, signed, and dated application packet to Congresswoman
Fletcher’s office. All materials MUST be received or postmarked by Friday, November 1, 2024.

 To submit test scores through College Board, sign in or create an account. Once signed in, you can

Eligibility & Signature

I hereby declare that I am a United States Citizen and a legal resident of Texas’s Seventh Congressional
District. I will be at least 17 years of age but not more than 23 years of age by July 1 of the year I enter the
academy. I am unmarried, not pregnant, and without legal obligation to support dependents.

I understand that submission of the requested information constitutes authorization for review of this
information by Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher, her staff, her Service Academy Nomination Committee, the
academy admissions office(s), and the media.

I understand that in addition to this completed written application, I am also required to submit the items on the
application checklist in order to be considered. I further understand that Congresswoman Fletcher’s Office
must be in receipt of all application materials no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2024.
