ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT ON THE PROVINCIAL ATHLETIC MEET 2024
I. TITLE: PROVINCIAL ATHLETIC MEET 2024
II. LOCATION: KAMAGSANGKAY SPORTS COMPLEX, PAMBUJAN, NORTHERN SAMAR
III. DATE: MARCH 3-7, 2024
IV. INTRODUCTION/RATIONALE
Sports is one way not only to show the skills and talents of the students but also
develop the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among individuals.
Another purpose of this activity will help students to realize their strengths and
weaknesses and be able to improve on each area.
Finally, the purpose of the said activity will help students derive from doing
obnoxious things that might hinder them in achieving a bright future.
That is why the Division of Northern Samar conducted its Provincial Athletic Meet
activity on March 3 - 7, 2024. The said activity is spearheaded by the Division Office Heads
with the help of the municipal mayor of the different municipalities of Northern Samar.
V. ACTIVITIES UNDERSTAKEN
The first activity was a solidarity program in the morning and a parade in the
afternoon during the day one of the said activity. On day two, March 4, 2024, it was started
with the first three field events namely: Shotput, Discus and Javelin throws for elementary
(boys and girls) and secondary (boys and girls). On the third day, March 5, 2024 was the
three jumping events. In the morning of the third day, long jump and triple jump for
elementary (boys and girls) and secondary (boys and girls) was played. In the afternoon of
the said day was the highlight of the event which is the high jump for elementary (boys and
girls) and secondary (boys and girls). On the fourth day, March 6, 2024, was the deliberation
of the selected and qualified EVRAA Athletes and Coaches for Athletics Field Events.
As the day went on, games were played from the different events until it reached
the final games to determine the champions of each competition.
The final part of the activity is the declaration and awarding ceremony wherein not
only the victors have been awarded to recognize their efforts during the conduct of games
but also those who have lost but actively participated in the activity.
VI. PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED
Problems are inevitable part of every activity conducted. It enables us to see
what to improve in order for a program to become successful. During our Provincial Athletic
Meet, we have encountered less problems such as the lack of funds for the sports
equipment and some of the coaches and officiating officials have not undergone official

training. Finally, the problem is the lack of workforce during the conduct of games. Some
sports events lacked game official which led to different problems in the game.
VII. RECOMMENDATION
Based on the problems that we have encountered it will be more helpful if funds
will be collected much earlier so that the tournament managers will be able to prepare
ahead of time for the fulfillment of the activity. Finally, it really helps us to have more days
of Provincial Meet so that we really focus on each sports event to ensure that the winning
athletes are really qualified to compete for the higher meets to come and it is recommended
if the coaches will undergo a proper training before coaching.
