INTRODUCTION
Graduation internship is a module that all fourth-year students in all majors must
take. I wrote this internship report to present details about my internship process at
Small World Foreign Language Center. When interning at Small World, I was
assigned the duties of a full-time employee. The purpose of the internship is to learn
how to operate and manage a foreign language center to apply to future work. The
Small World Foreign Language Center has helped me understand and manage quite
well. Therefore, I chose Small World as my internship because it made a lot of
impression on me when I learned about Small World. The first reason is that the
teachers at Small World are very dedicated and cheerful, always creating many
opportunities for interns to work in the right field, always caring, and giving very
professional guidance. The second reason is that it is a place to professionally train
students to help students master the skills to confidently participate in English exams.
The final reason is that the long-time center management and operations teacher will
have extensive experience in guiding interns. My internship report has been divided
into many small parts. The first part presents information about the Small World
Foreign Language Center. Second, I will talk about the process of doing the exercise
and the experience I accumulated. Third, I will talk about the difficulties and
advantages when I practiced at the center. In the final part, I will give some of my
opinions about the internship at Small World Foreign Language Center, An Giang
University to make better changes for the next internship. I hope that my opinions will
help English Language students find a good internship and that they will have
memorable memories for themselves. And next is the objective of the report, the goal
of the report is to summarize what has been done in the past 2 months of the internship.
Internship is to accumulate experience to find a job and I have also accumulated some
useful experience for my future work. After 2 months of internship and working at
the front desk, interacting and communicating in English with students and teachers,
Trang 1

my skills have also improved. In short, I wrote a report to summarize the process of
my internship at the Small World Foreign Language Center.
- Learn how to manage and settle down in the lobby when students leave school
- I have learned how to take notes and test the language skills of the children before
placing them in the appropriate classroom.
I think the most important goal that I must always remember is to take notes on
all the work that I have done in the past at Small World Foreign Language Center.
That's all I will look at to write my internship report.

for use in classes at the center. For example, the Starters book will provide lessons
such as listening, reading, writing, and images for you to color and distinguish colors.
Most Centers operate mainly in the evenings, with each class lasting 1 hour and 30
hours. The first shift will start from 5:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and the second shift will
start from 7:05 a.m. to 8:35 a.m. The total number of students is nearly 400, divided
into 38 classes, each class has about 10-20 students.

1. Facilities
Let students come to class in a comfortable and excited position and office staff
feel happy. Small World Foreign Language Center always fully meets the needs of
classroom and office equipment such as: TV, board, lamp, brush pen, speaker, fan,
air conditioner, table, chair, etc. Classrooms in the The classroom is always clean,
tables and chairs are neatly arranged to help students move easily and see the screen.
The classrooms are fully equipped with equipment, teaching aids, and computers to
help students access many different methods. The center also always focuses on
classroom decoration, lighting, and temperature. Maybe Small World Foreign
Language Center not only focuses on improving the quality of teachers, but also
cares about the learning environment and facilities that serve well for teaching and
learning. Every year, Small World constantly upgrades its facilities to increasingly
improve them, meeting the needs of high-quality learning and intervention, with a
complete teaching scale.
2. Tasks
Up to now, Small World Foreign Language Center has trained and accompanied
many students from grades 1 to 12 and university students. Without the help of
creating solid foundational knowledge that still stimulates interest, fun, and creativity,
these subjects will be more popular than before. Small World has been winging the
dreams of students to reach their goals in better careers and a more expansive future.
Small World focuses on and practices four main skills so that students can learn to
communicate with others and complete English exams well. In addition, Small World
also focuses on the speaking skills of students in all classes to edit and help them
communicate better.

The tasks I was assigned when interning at Small Foreign Language Center were
working as a receptionist in the lobby, translating texts from English to Vietnamese
and from Vietnamese to English, designing posters and managing classrooms. This
is the first time I have been exposed to these jobs. I feel quite scared and a little
excited to be able to directly work from simple jobs to complex jobs. These tasks
were not too difficult because I always receive support from Ms. Trang, the center
manager, so that I can complete them on time and without errors.
Every week in the afternoon, I went to the center for 3 days to sit at the reception
desk. The work I will do when I am on duty is to discuss with parents about registering
class schedules for children, providing study materials for students collecting fees,
and then reporting back to the center manager. In addition, when students register at
the learning center, I will test their English by asking them some English questions
for them to answer and some other basic knowledge. so that we can arrange you in
the appropriate class. Call parents to talk about the student's learning situation so that
parents can grasp their child's learning situation. When school is over, I will keep
Trang 10
TRAN THI HAI NGAN – DTA207632
order in the lobby so that students do not joke around. Moreover, I was also taught by
the manager how to sign and stamp correctly and beautifully.
In weeks 5 and 6, Ms. Trang, the center manager, gave me articles to translate. The
translation is an article about the problem of finding a job for recent graduates. This
translation took me a lot of time to do because I had to find vocabulary that was
reasonable and suitable for my current level. There were many Vietnamese words in
the article that could not be translated into English, so I asked my friends for helpd
and at the same time, this translation was also my English test. If I didn't translate well,
it would be bad. My post will not be appreciated. And fortunately, my paper was
completed well and better than my expectations. Furthermore, through translating
articles, I have also acquired the skills to use English in accordance with the context
and increased my vocabulary compared to before.
In the afternoon around 5:45, I had to go to the center to get to the classes in time
to stabilize order and check if the students had brought enough books to study, using
English to communicate with them on different topics such as animals, vehicles,
toys,... my classmates were very good at understanding and answering all my
questions. The students are very cooperative and friendly, thanks to which my
classroom management is very fun and she is not bored

III. The advantages and disadvantages of interning at the Small World Foreign
language Center
1. Advantages
During my internship at the Small World Foreign Language Center, I was really
lucky to have a wonderful manager, Ms. Trang. She always helped me
wholeheartedly in every job, and I considered that an advantage. my biggest. In
addition, the other teachers at the center are also very friendly and chatty and always
tell me the center's rules so that I don't violate them. The students also helped me, so
I could use English to communicate. Furthermore, an internship is an opportunity
for me to have direct contact with work so that I can discover many things such as:
my strengths and weaknesses, my lack of professional knowledge, my passion.
passionate about work…
2. Disadvantages
Trang 14
TRAN THI HAI NGAN – DTA207632
didn't know how to stabilize it and I had to ask for support from the manager, and
after 2 weeks I got used to this job.
The problems I have are the cause of my difficulties. In the early days, when
working at the front desk and interacting with many staff and students, I was really
shy to communicate, but after a while of being guided and talked to more by the
manager, I became more open and open. Start communicating more and more fluently,
no longer timid like before. How to solve the problem: When parents ask questions,
I'm quite hesitant to answer and sometimes don't know what information to tell them,
so I proactively ask more questions so the manager can provide more information.
Trust me so I can confidently answer. Another problem is that I should increase my
vocabulary by reading books every day and watching English programs so that when
students ask questions during communication, I can answer them.
After 2 rather long months of internship, I have also accumulated a lot of useful
and necessary experience. I have experience working at the front desk and managing
registration documents at the center. I have never done this job before. Thanks to
this internship, I can do this job. I communicate with parents every day, so I also
understand their psychology and guide them. in the best way. I learned how to
manage paperwork and how to manage the center through instruction and practice.
Through the internship, I also have experience using office equipment, such as
troubleshooting errors on computers, how to use printers, etc. To be honest, I am a
person who is not very familiar with computers, I feel I found it very difficult to
adapt and work on the computer, but when I was interning and used the computer a
lot, I was taught and learned a lot of ways to handle and work on the computer. In
addition, my experience in organizing games such as making mini games at the
beginning of class and managing my classroom has also improved, and everyone

I. Conclusion
This internship has left me with many experiences as well as many memorable
memories. This internship also gives me the opportunity to apply the knowledge I
have learned in practice and I have a more objective view of future work. During my
internship, I also listened to many comments from Ms. Trang so that I could improve
myself. I have received a lot of love and help from the students at the center, they
have conveyed their experiences and shown me what real work is like, for that I am
very grateful. In addition, the internship was also a great opportunity that helped me
do the right job in the industry. The experiences and knowledge I have accumulated
will help me in my future work.
II. Suggestion
1. Suggestions for Small World Foreign Language Center
I think with the increasing number of students wanting to learn English, more
centers should open more classes and increase the size of the classroom because the
number of students is increasing and to avoid an uncomfortable learning environment.
Teachers should communicate and let you speak English more when teaching in class
so that you can pronounce better and avoid mishearing and misunderstanding the
meaning of words. In addition, classrooms should be soundproofed and have separate
entrances and exits to avoid affecting surrounding classrooms and help students focus
Trang 16
TRAN THI HAI NGAN – DTA207632
more on learning. The center should change some equipment such as tables and
televisions because they are quite old and install new air conditioners to make the air
cooler. Another thing is to expand the garage to have a spacious parking space to
avoid squeeze between cars. It is important to have more foreign teachers so that
students can have direct contact with them so that their listening ability can improve
and students can learn many cultural features while studying. Teacher shares in class.
And the last thing is that class time and break time should be rearranged because
without such flexibility, students will be pressured and not concentrate on class.
I have some advice with the hope that teaching and learning at An Giang University
will be better and more successful. AGU and the foreign language department should
connect more with many companies and businesses to introduce students so that they
can have more suitable choices for themselves. Members need to regularly monitor
and support students in polytechnic issues. In addition, An Giang University and its
students should give students more access to foreign students so that they can be more
confident in communication and their listening abilities can also be improved. More
internship facilities should be produced for students because this is an opportunity for
them to gain more experience and experience in many fields. And I think we should
choose more time to do the internship so we can get used to the work in an octopus
way. Finally, we should give more time to write the internship report because we need
to revise and change some things ideas for better reporting.
Through this internship, I have learned many things and I want to share them with
my fellow English Language majors. First, I think I am a student so I have soft skills
such as the ability to use computers and solve computer problems. In addition to those
skills, I need to have the following important skills: communication skills, teamwork
skills, problem solving skills,... moreover, students must be active, enthusiastic during
Trang 17
TRAN THI HAI NGAN – DTA207632
the internship process and, importantly, punctual. For example, you must do your
work and contribute on time, always be proactive in all tasks, and enthusiastically help
when needed. Always know how to listen and perform assigned tasks well so that
others have a good view and trust in you. Be proactive in communicating and don't
continue because communicating continuously every day is really important for you
to have more automaticity and one more thing is don't ask, if you ask, the other person
will answer you clearly. Obviously avoid, avoid asking impolite questions, harsh
questions and don't ask too many questions as it will affect others.
