NEUTRAL GROUNDING
RESISTORS
1. PURPOSE
The systems that is necessary to be able to perform the routine tests and final examinations of Neutral Grounding Resistors
depending on standards and customer specifications.
2. SCOPE
Covers all the Neutral Grounding Resistors that are manufactured within Resisturk’s facilities.
3. STAFF IN CHARGE
Quality Assurance Chief Responsible for the full functioning of the quality procedure.
Quality Assurance Staff Responsible for the documentation of the quality procedure and its control in relevant areas.
4. DESCRIPTIONS AND ABBREVIATION
Type Test : They are the tests which are performed on one single item. (Temperature Rise Test, Protection Degree Test,
Impulse Voltage Test etc.)
Routine Tests : They are the tests that are performed on every single manufactured item.
Final Examination : The examination that is performed on the items that passes Routine Tests which is applied without a
measuring instrument.
NGR : Neutral Grounding Resistor
5. PROCEDURE CONTENT
5.1. Routine Tests :
5.1.1. The NGR must be assembled completely before tests. Only front cover will be taken off during the tests. Otherwise,
test procedure shall not begin.
5.1.2. All tests are performed in accordance with the regulations that is stated in “Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR)
Routine Test Procedures”
5.1.3. As a result of the tests, stickers of “H.V. Test Passed” for High Voltage Test, “İmpulse Voltage Test Passed” for
Impulse Voltage Test, “Ohmic Value Control” for Ohmic Value Test are placed on the accepted NGRs. On the blank of
Ohmic Value Control sticker, A.C. and D.C. ohmic values are written. The stickers are placed on the front cover of the NGR.
For the NGRs that are going to be exported, nameplates in English shall be placed.
5.1.4. After the tests, five copies of “Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR) Test Report” shall be issued. The test report of
protection current transformer shall be copied.to the back of the NGR test report page. For the NGRs that are going to be
exported, the Test Report shall be in English and the name of the test report is “Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR) Test
Report” These prepared documents shall be sent to the end-customer with the NGR. The other copies of this test report
are givent to Production Manager and

NEUTRAL GROUNDING RESISTORS
Quality Assurance Chief. The copy that the Quality Assurance Chief receives shall be kept in the folders of “Product Test
Reports”. In addition, all the test reports shall be recorded in the form that is called “NGR Test Chart Form” These forms
shall be kept under the responsibility of Quality Control Staff.
5.1.5. If a fault or a production defect is found is found duing the tests, the red sticker of “DEFECTED PRODUCT” shall be
placed on the NGR. For each faul tor defect, the Quality Control Staff shall fill in the report of “NGR Defect Report” . This
report shall be sticked on the NGR with a tape.
5.1.6. When the defect or fault is fixed, Defect Report shall be filled by the person who fixes the problem. This report
shall be given to the Quality Control Staff with the NGR. Then, the NGR shall be tested again.
5.1.7. After the corrections are done and test is performed again, a copy of “NGR Test Repetition Chart” is filled out 5).
Quality Assurance Staff shall be in charge of this chart.
5.1.8. On the NGRs that passes the tests, “Ohmic Value Test Acceptance” sticker shall be placed on the NGR and NGR is
left of final examination.
5.2. Type Tests:
5.2.1. All tests are performed in accordance with the regulations that is stated in “Neutral Grounding Resistor
(NGR) Type Test Procedures”
5.2.2. As a result of the tests, stickers of “ Temperature Rise Test Passed” for Temperature Rise Test, “İmpulse Voltage
Test Passed” for Impulse Voltage Test, “Protection Degree Check …….“ for Protection Degree Tests. “AC DC Ohmic Value
Checked” for Ohmic Value Test are placed on the accepted NGRs. On the blank of Ohmic Value Control sticker, A.C. and
D.C. ohmic values are written. The stickers are placed on the front cover of the NGR. For the NGRs that are going to be
exported, nameplates in English shall be placed.
5.2.3. After the tests, five copies of “Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR) Test Report” shall be issued. The test report of

NGR is left of final examination.
5.2. Final Examination:
5.2.1. After a NGR passes the routine tests successfully, final examination shall be performed as per “ NGR Final
Examination Procedure” One copy of Final Examination Report is issued for each NGR (Dok. No: 1400.F.014-6). Filing and
archiving the reports are in charge of Quality Control Staff.
5.2.2. After a NGR passed the Final Examination successfully, the sticker of “QUALITY CONTROL PASSED” shall be placed
on the upper corner of front cover
5.2.3. If a fault or defect is found after the examinations, the procedure that is performed for routine tests is valid in this
case too.
