"Good afternoon, everyone! Today, we proudly join the nation in
celebrating National Reading Month with the theme, ‘Read to Rise:
Lifting Minds and Hearts through Books’ / ‘Pagbasa Tungo sa Tagumpay:
Pagpapayabong sa Isip at Damdamin.’
Joycel:
We gather to ignite and celebrate the joy of reading as part of our
observance of National Reading Month. Guided by the Department of
Education's commitment under DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2024, this
initiative aims to strengthen literacy and instill a love for books
among our learners, teachers, and the community.
Christian:
Reading is not just a skill—it's a gateway to knowledge, imagination,
and opportunity. Throughout this month, we embrace activities that
nurture comprehension, creativity, and lifelong learning. Together, let
us turn every page as a step toward growth, unity, and empowerment. Let
the stories begin!"
Joycel:
As we gather for today’s event, we’ll begin with two important
traditions that set a respectful and solemn tone for our celebration.
"In every corner of our archipelago, the spirit of patriotism shines
bright. Through songs that echo our struggles and triumphs, and prayers
that unite our hearts, we honor the strength and beauty of our beloved
Philippines."
Christian:
Yes, let us start with pride and reverence for our nation and our
gathering. First, we invite everyone to please stand as we play the
Nationalistic Song followed by our Opening Prayer through an AVP.
Joycel:
It is my honor to introduce our dedicated and passionate school
district Filipino Coordinator, Ma’am Jennifer L. Velasco. With her
commitment to promoting Filipino language and culture, she continues to
inspire and guide us toward excellence. Let us now hear her words of
welcome. Please join me in giving her a warm round of applause!"
Christian:
It is my pleasure to introduce a dedicated leader and passionate
advocate for quality education. As the District School Head In-Charge
Coordinator, Ma’am Babylyn E. Calcetas continues to guide and inspire
our educators and learners toward excellence. Let us warmly welcome her
as she shares her message with us today. A big round of applause,
please!"
Joycel:
It is with great pride that I introduce a leader who continues to
inspire and uplift our education community. As the Public Schools
District Supervisor of Atimonan I, whose embodies dedication,
excellence, and a vision for progress. Let us give her a warm round of
applause as she shares her inspirational message with us today, Ma’am
Susana P. Nera.
Christian:
To guide us through the criteria for today’s event, we have someone who
has been tirelessly advocating for literacy and excellence in
education. As the Senior High School District Reading In-Charge, Ma’am
Aira C. Gonzales is here to share the standards we will use in
evaluating our participants. Let us give her a warm round of applause!"
Joycel:
Today, she will introduce the distinguished individuals who will be
serving as our board of judges. These individuals are experts in the
field and will help evaluate our participants with their knowledge and
experience. Please join me in welcoming Ma’am Maria Teresa M. Gamitin
to introduce our esteemed judges!"

As we come to the close of today’s event, it is my privilege to
introduce our District English Coordinator, who has been instrumental

He will now deliver the closing remarks, reflecting on the inspiring
moments we’ve shared and encouraging us to continue our journey toward
greater achievement. Let’s all welcome Sir Herbert N. Doce with a round
of applause!"

"As we wrap up our today’s event, let us remember that reading is not
just a task, but a doorway to endless possibilities. Through the books
we read, we expand our minds, connect with others, and gain a deeper
understanding of the world around us.
Christian:

it all begins with the simple act of reading. Let’s continue to read,
learn, and rise together. Thank you to everyone who participated and
made this celebration a memorable one. Let’s keep the spirit of reading

Joycel:
