10 Key Tips For New Streamers
1 FOCUS ON ONE PLATFORM
If you are trying to build followers on a bunch of other
platforms, if you are live streaming one day on Facebook,
the next day on Twitch, the next day on YouTube. It can be
really hard to get everyone in one place.
2 MAKE YOUR STREAM LOOK PRO
The way your stream looks plays a big part in viewers
recognizing and remembering you. So making sure you
have stream overlays, alerts and panels is going to help

3 HAVE A GOOD BIO
Your bio will be the next most important thing. It will tell
people who you are and the things you like and enjoy and
then ask what they like. This will allow people to connect
with you right away, which will increase your
engagement.
HAVE ALL YOUR SOCIAL ACCOUNTS
4 SET UP AND LINKS READY
After adding your bio in your description you want to drop
all your social links so people know where to find you. This
is for the people who really want to get to know you. So
give them access to the platform you are the most active
on. Youtube, Instagram, Twitter etc.

5 SET UP CHAT RULES AND MODERATION
A lot of times trolls that are on the look out for chill
streamers to prey on because of the lower amount of
messages in the chat. That’s a big no-no and you can
defend yourself.
Select members of your audience to act as moderators.
This is not something to take lightly, and therefore you
should pick moderators only when you’re really sure
about their commitment and their ability in enforcing
rules objectively in the chatroom.
6 FOCUS ON CHAT INTERACTION
Make sure that your stream is set up so that you can read
comments, donations, and share so that you can shout
them out on stream, the more you can do this the more
people will want to interact which will increase your
engagement and stats. People want instant gratification.
7 TRY DIFFERENT GAMES
Always keep testing, keep changing the game or the mode
you are playing. Test out different games in different
modes. Even if something is going well just try to
experiment with a different game.
Try playing some older games and just test out a bunch of
different games. You might be amazed that
your “Fortnite” streams, your “Call of Duty” streams might
not go anywhere, but you might play “Diablo 3,” you might
play “Overwatch” and you might get a huge reach.

8 TRY DIFFERENT STREAMING TIMES
Some stream times are more accessible than others: Maybe
you can only stream during your evenings, maybe only in
the morning. You should try different streaming “slots”
throughout the day to see what is more comfortable for you
and what yields more average viewers.
9 DEVELOP YOUR OWN BRAND
The way you present yourself to an audience will allow you to
develop your own brand and ultimately community.
In the early days of streaming you can start thinking and
crafting your personal brand. Remember, a good streamer
can wear many hats and be flexible, depending on the
situation presented.

Surrounding yourself with like minded people will allow you
to stay motivated and to grow. The more relationships you
can build the more opportunities you will have.
