Reasons/Justification
Most countries across the world have invested heavily in developing their industrial
sector. Though it is capital intensive, the reward afterward is worth mentioning. Several scholars
have studied how companies create sustainable development in the country (Bayou, M. E., & De
Korvin, 2008). One of the main reasons why companies are established is to gain economic
development. Companies play a significant role in contributing towards economy. One of the
main reason for choosing companies as the main topic is their great contribution not only
towards country’s economy but also towards improvement of people’s living standards (Rangan
et al., 2012). Starting from industrial revolution, people have benefited from employment
opportunities offered by the companies. There are various departments from which people can
secure jobs from the companies. Automobile companies have contributed significantly to
economic development.
In this study, the two automobile companies chosen for study are Ford Motor Company
and GSM Automotive Company. These two companies are the giants in motor vehicle industry.
It is also interesting to point out the corporate social responsibility of these companies. Their role
in the industry is not only to make profits but also to ensure the lives of the people in the society
are improved (Tumelero et al., 2019).
Part of the reasons to study these two companies is to understand their role in ensuring
environmental protection. Ford Motor Company and GSM Automotive Company have
extensively used technology in their business operations. For instance, Ford has embarked on
manufacturing electric cars that are environmentally friendly (Ford, n.d).
On the other hand, GSM Automotive is using high technologies in car painting,
electronic assembly and other car services (GSM Auto, n.d). Their innovative minds ensures that
they remain competitive in the market despite a fierce competition. Automobile industry is one
among the most competitive industries due to many players in the market.
Conclusion
To sum up, companies are extremely important entities in our countries. With
advancement in technology, the world is likely to witness the growth of high-tech companies that
would change everything. This will benefit the ever expanding population across the world.
Through companies, people are able to get the most essential products and services. This paper
sought to highlight the importance of companies to a country. Various studies have noted that
companies is one of the major pillars of economic development. Through companies, a good
percentage of country’s population is able to get jobs thus improving their standards of living.
One of the most competitive industry is the automobile sector.. This is because there are
numerous companies offering the same product. Ford Motor Company and GSM Automotive
Company are two companies in the industry that have proved to be competitive. Marketing is an
important thing that have ensured the success of companies in the market (Vachani & Post,
2012). Through sound marketing strategies, the company’s brand is able to stand in the market.
GSM Automotive and Ford Motors Company have attained international recognition. Their
business operations have positively impacted the lives of many. With opportunities presented
across the world, there is no doubt that these companies can emerge giants despite a fierce
competition.
Brainstorming
Despite being successful in the industry, one may be interested to know how did Ford Motor
Company evade the criminal probe over emissions. Ford have made huge strides in developing
electric cars that are environmentally friendly but then the issue of auto emission labeled against
the company is likely to tarnish its name in the market.
