1. I really liked learning about :
Storytelling and Narrative Techniques – I loved exploring different narrative styles and techniques used in the
stories, such as point of view, characterization, and plot structure, which helped me appreciate the art of storytelling.
Learning About Diverse Cultures – I enjoyed reading stories from diverse cultures, like "The Necklace" by
Guy de Maupassant, which gave me insight into different societies, values, and perspectives on life.
Character Development – I loved analyzing characters in the lessons, like in "The Diary of Anne Frank"
and "The Hundred Dresses". Understanding their motivations, struggles, and growth made the stories more
relatable and meaningful.
Poetry and Its Meaning – I found the poems, such as "Dust of Snow", "A Tiger in the Zoo", and "The Ball Poem",
particularly fascinating because of the deep meanings and emotions they conveyed. It was great to analyze how poets use

Deeper Analysis of Literary Devices – I wish I had spent more time learning about advanced literary
devices like irony, symbolism, and allusion, and how they enhance the meaning of a text. This would have helped
me better appreciate the nuances of literature.
More Focus on Creative Writing – I wish I had learned more creative writing techniques, like developing characters,
settings, and plots, to improve my storytelling skills and write more engaging narratives.
Advanced Vocabulary and Expression – I would have liked to learn more about sophisticated vocabulary and idiomatic
expressions to enrich my writing and speaking, and to help me express my ideas in a more articulate way.

Effective Essay Writing – I can organize my thoughts clearly and structure my essays well, making sure to cover
all necessary points in a logical sequence, with a strong introduction, body, and conclusion.
Vocabulary and Language Skills – I have developed a strong vocabulary and can use appropriate words and phrases
to express my ideas clearly and precisely, both in writing and speaking.
Poetry Interpretation – I am skilled at analyzing and interpreting poetry, understanding figures of speech like metaphors,
similes, and personification, and explaining how these elements contribute to the meaning of the poem.
Character Analysis – I am good at analyzing characters in literature, understanding their motivations, personalities,
and how they develop throughout a story, which helps me explain their role in the narrative.
4. These are things that I need to work on :
Grammar Accuracy in Writing – I need to pay more attention to my grammar while writing essays or answering
questions, especially in areas like subject-verb agreement, prepositions, and punctuation, where I sometimes make
mistakes.
Use of Literary Devices – I need to work on identifying and using literary devices (like metaphors, similes, irony,
and symbolism) more effectively in my writing and analysis, to add depth to my interpretations.
Addressing Weaknesses in Comprehension – Sometimes I struggle with reading comprehension, especially with
longer or more complex passages. I need to work on techniques for reading quickly and accurately while identifying
key points and details.
