I n the dynamic landscape of higher educa on, postgraduate

schools play a pivotal role in shaping the future leaders and experts
in various fields. To ensure a coherent and purposeful journey for
both the ins tu on and its students, establishing clear organiza onal

Landmark University is poised at becoming “a world class university by
spearheading an agrarian revolu on on the African con nent through
the explora on of hidden treasures in the mother-earth thereby
restoring the dignity of the black race.”

The kick off of Landmark University Postgraduate School during the
2018/2019 Academic Session is out to consummate our quest for

I am extremely happy and excited to welcome you to the School of

Postgraduate Studies (SPS), of the amazing Landmark University
(LMU), Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria. It is a pleasure to have you
partner with this great University using the Postgraduate studies
pla orm in LMU. We aim to extend your fron ers of knowledge as you
develop your academic skills in your chosen field of learning. The
Postgraduate School is the engine room of research in a university and
the emphasis at Landmark University is research for development. We
deliberately tailor our research efforts towards the seventeen (17)
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Na ons.

Our Postgraduate students undergo academic and research training to

fully equip them in knowledge, research skills, and strong spiritual
base to be globally compe ve in the world market and to become
employers of labour in diverse areas of their exper se. Our academic
Programmes are designed to foster real life experimental research
which inculcate cri cal and crea ve thinking leading to the
deployment of research findings beyond the shelf but transla onal to
solving the problems of hunger and poverty in the na ons of Africa.
Our Postgraduate School has a strategically structured academic
calendar that guarantees a seamless start and finish schedule without
delay. We are proud to let you know that the school has a scroll of high
profile faculty with interna onal s nt who are capable of engaging the
students using latest state of the art equipment, first class laboratories,
experimental fields and facili es that are produc vely engaged in
innova ve research and training. Our teaching and research
methodology follow interna onal standards that takes postgraduate
projects/ disserta ons/thesis beyond the shelves. We have academic
linkages which provide opportuni es for our students to apply for
grants and scholarship opportuni es for bench work and other
research endeavours outside the shores of Nigeria. We have pla orms
for mentoring our students through interac ons with quality
Supervisors who are dedicated, commi ed and resourceful for quality
output..

We are focussed on a aining global heights and we believe in learning

and relearning for the development of exper se. We recognize that
linkages and collabora ons are sustainable pathways for reaching out
and making impact in our environment. We therefore have resource
oriented collabora ons and capacity building rela onships with
reputable organiza ons such as Interna onal Ins tute of Tropical
Agriculture (IITA), Na onal Space Research and Development Agency
(NASRDA), Federal Ins tute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO),
Nigerian Ins tute for Oil Palm Research (NIFOR), Na onal Centre for
Agricultural Mechaniza on (NCAM) and many more. Our academic
Programmes are well structured to support and drive these
collabora ons. These linkages are deliberate and inten onal to create
the pla orm that expose our students to a holis c academic lifestyle in
the society, industry and organiza on.
Currently, not less than twenty one (21) academic programmes are
approved by the Na onal Universi es Commission (NUC) in the School
of Postgraduate Studies at the amazing Landmark University. These
Programmes cover Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Masters (M.Sc., MBA,
M.Eng) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). The Programmes contain
carefully cra ed Course Synopsis which are taught under most
conducive Classrooms, Laboratories and Field learning ambiance.
Further readings and instruc ons are made available in our well-
equipped Centre for Learning Resources (CLR) or Library, which
provides up to date virtual and shelf stocked learning materials.
Landmark University is managed by a strong Proprietor base ably led by
the Chancellor, Dr. David O. Oyedepo. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof.
Kolawole Ajanaku provides direc ves for the twelve (12) man School of
Postgraduate Studies Board members who co-ordinate the ac vi es of
the school.
Our environment is very conducive to teaching, learning and research
and our campus is serene and evergreen typifying the Agricultural
revolu on mandate of the University. I am happy to inform you that
