List of Competitions, Rules and Regulations
Sr. Group (Grades VII-X)
Reporting Time- 9.00 A.M
Competitions:
A) Group Singing (Indian)---no. of participants (Minimum 2 and Maximum 8)
1) Only one entry per school is allowed.
2) A team has to present, one folk song.
3) Maximum 8 participants (inclusive of any accompaniment) in a group and the number
of accompanists playing instruments shall depend on the no. of singers.
4) The group song should be classical/semi-classical/devotional/folksong of Indian origin in
any of the Indian regional languages.
5) No film song shall be presented as a group song.
6) Maximum time allowed for the group song is 5 minutes which does not include
setting time of 4 minutes.
7) Judgment is on the basis of quality of singing only and not on make-up, costumes and
actions of the team.
B) Group Dance (Free Style) 2-8 Participants (only recorded music will be allowed
1) Only one entry per school is allowed.
2) Maximum 8 participants allowed per team. The team may consist of boys & girls or maybe
both.
3) Only recorded music is allowed for accompaniment.
4) The dance can be a primitive folk dance (Indian Style) but not purely Indian
classical.
5) The duration of dance should not be more than 5 minutes.
6) Three copies of a brief note giving the theme and the text of the song if any, is to be
submitted along with the entry form at the time of registration.
7) The participating team is responsible for removing and setting the props
immediately after the completion of their performance.
8) Judgment is based on the basis of rhythm, formation, expression, costumes,
make-up and sets on the overall effect.
9) Time for sets/ instruments setting is a maximum of 5 minutes.
C) Stand up comedy (2-5 participants)
1)Only 2-5 participants per team, only 1 team per school is allowed. 2) The time allowed is 2-5
minutes per team. 3) Should not include themes based on the country politics/organisations/those
which affect religious sentiments. It could be:
● Interaction and experiences with other people. This could be anyone from friends, and
family members to strangers
● Experiences during an activity or event
● Information that they have just read or heard about
● Hobbies and interests
● Opinions and View Points
D) Terrarium Designing
"Bringing Nature Indoors: Your Miniature Ecosystem in a Glass"
1. Only 1 to 3 participants per team and only 2 teams per school will be allowed.
2. Materials for the competition should be brought by the participants.
3. Time allowed is 1 hour 30 minutes.
4. Elements from nature like twigs, stones/pebbles/sand/clay/water leaves and flowers could be
used. A few cut outs where necessary can be used.
5. Judgment will be based on the aesthetic appearance, neatness, finish and cost effectiveness of
the project.
E) “HEAD OVER DESIGNER HEELS” – SHOE DESIGNING COMPETITION
Get one plain white canvas shoe and explore the possibility of making it a designer footwear using
colored shoe laces, paints, stick ons, embellishments, 3D outliners and a lot more.
1. Solo entry (2 entries per school is allowed)
2. Participants must bring their own plain White Canvas shoe and other decorative items.
3. Duration will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.
