POINTS TO REMEMBER
Pre-writing is a term that describes any kind of preliminary activity, such as exploring the
essay topic, developing ideas, and then discovering relationships between those various
ideas. This kind of planning in writing is important in academic writing.
Pre-writing facilitates the process of writing because it allows us to think more concretely
about our assignment or topic. Especially in writing a position paper, it will help the learners
understand the steps and get started with the whole paper.
B. Evaluation
In this activity, create an outline for your position paper and use the template

C. Valuing
Not every pre-writing strategy is effective for everyone. Some methods might prove more
effective than others for students. Students should not be hesitant to experiment with
several pre-writing strategies before selecting the one that suits them the best. A method
that is effective for one essay question might not be effective for another. But doing the
pre-writing has a big impact on constructing and preparing what you will write.
