Visa Processing
If you are applying for your student visa, you must obtain a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from The University of
Newcastle College of International Education and The University of Newcastle before you lodge your Australian student
visa application via the Simplified Streamlined Visa Framework arrangements with the Department of Home Affairs.
The information provided on your application form will be entered onto the Provider Registration and International
Student Management System (PRISMS) so that a CoE can be generated for you and you can proceed with your visa
application. Please ensure you have notified The University of Newcastle College of International Education of any
changes to this information. Your CoE will not be issued by The University of Newcastle College of International
Education and The University of Newcastle until your Offer of Admission is accepted and relevant payment has been
received.

Deferral of Your Studies
You may defer your studies only once and this is subject to approval. Tuition and other fees may change when and if a
new offer is generated. The policy of the College is to allow deferment of a formal offer until the commencement of
the following intake or for a period of 12 months, subject to approval. College policies can be found on the website
