Learning Graduate Internship Programme

[2024/2025 - 2026/2027]
eLearning Youth programme (focusing on ages 20 – 35) to provide an opportunity to gain
Graduate Intern practical work experience for a period of twenty-four (24) months, whereby
Programme: successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R 7 450. Women and
people with disabilities are particularly encouraged to apply.

Placement
Requirements 3-year diploma or degree (NQF 6 or 7) in any of the following areas:
• Software development
• Web design and development
A valid driver’s license would be an advantage.
Recommendation Software development: A basic understanding and working knowledge of
HTML, CSS , and JavaScript; Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional
teams; Conduct user testing on new and existing projects
Duties 1. Digital Resourcing: Support the eLearning staff with software, hardware,
cloud services and all related technology tasks.
2. Project Administration: assist eLearning staff in preparing files and
documents related to projects, collect and collate data to track
performance or efficiency, and compile meeting notes and reports.
3. Stakeholders: Attend meetings and work collaboratively with the
development team, service providers and senior curriculum officials.

Knowledge and Computer Literacy: High level of competency in MS Office Suite (MS Word,
Skills Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) & Internet

Software development: A basic understanding and working knowledge of


HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Drupal a
bonus; Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams; Conduct user
testing on new and existing projects

Interpersonal skills: A creative problem solver with fundamental work-related


skills enabling the candidate to function effectively in the web development and
digital resourcing environment, quick to learn and adapt to the required need.
Communication: Good written, listening and verbal communication skills in 2
(two) official languages of the Western Cape

(4) the academic results certified by the academic institution and
