Ans. Camels made it possible to carry goods over large distances, helping commerce to
spread. They also ensured regular travel between trading sites, increasing interaction between
people from different areas.

Ans. A group of people that have things in common (living, working, playing
together).
2. Institutions
Ans. Organizations that serve people in communities. Such as hospitals, banks, police stations,
schools, etc.
3. Needs
Ans. Things people must have to survive. Like food, shelter, and clothing.
4. Wants
Ans. Things people enjoy having in life but do not need to survive. Like cars, ACs, the latest
gadgets, etc.
5. Consumers
Ans. People who buy goods or services.
6. Producers
Ans. Producers are people or companies that create goods or offer services to meet the needs
and wants of others.

Ans. Purchasing goods and services from local companies to support the community.

8. How are most companies both consumers and producers? Explain.

Ans: Producers create, or produce, goods and provide services, and consumers buy those goods
and services with money. Therefore, most companies are both producers and consumers. For
example, restaurants buy food grains from supermarkets. This makes the restaurant a consumer.
At the same time, it prepares and sells meals to customers, This makes the restaurant a
Producer.

9. What do "supply" and "demand" mean, and how do they impact the cost of goods
and services?
Ans: 1) Supply refers to the number of goods or services available for sale, When supply
is high and demand is low, prices usually go down.
2) Demand means many people want to buy goods and services at a given price.
Prices tend to go up when demand is high and supply is low.

10. Describe the concept of a budget.


Ans: 1) A budget is a plan for spending and saving money, and it has two main
parts: income and expenses.
2) Income is money coming in, such as money earned from work, and expenses are
money going out, such as spending money for goods and
services.
3) The purpose of a budget is to help people control how much they spend
and save.
