Rosen sunvisors have a red locking knob to secure the sunvisor slide in place.
Replacements are available through TAPD as part number 99-701KIT. This kit includes
the red knob, compression spring and nylon washer.

The Central Maintenance Computer (CMC) is hosted through the Garmin Avionics suite,
and CMC data can be viewed using a maintenance SD card installed in the top slot of the
Multi-Function Display (MFD). The CMC system is controlled using the MFD knobs and
the data is viewable on the MFD while the airplane is on the ground. Event driven faults
or issues such as crew alert system (CAS) messages are automatically isolated to their
root cause in the “Fault History” view. In addition, the CMC system provides screens for
viewing live data from aircraft sensors and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) with inputs to

the G1000 system, records a history of CAS messages posted to the crew, and provides

45. Note: The CMC functionality is part of the Garmin base software and cannot be
installed or unlocked on the 208 or 208B models with G1000 software levels prior to
2499.23.
