Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc in first stitch, sc-blo in next 5(5, 5, 6, 6) (7, 7, 8, 8) stitches, slst in the next 2

Repeat rows 2 & 3 until you have worked your last two slst into the base and worked row 2. Do
not fasten off, move onto the buttonhole band.
BUTTONHOLE BAND
Row 1: place sc evenly across the rows to the neck ribbing, place 1 sc in each st of the neck
ribbing. Make sure it lays flat and doesn’t ripple before continuing. Adjust the number of sc
accordingly.
Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. Attach 4 markers for smaller sizes and up to 8
markers for larger sizes, spaced equally, one at the top, one at the bottom and the
remaining in between.
Row 3: ch 1, turn, add sc in each st across but ch 1 and skip the sts where you
have attached the st markers. Ch 1 spaces will serve as buttonholes,
Row 4: ch 1, turn, sc in each st and each ch space. Fasten off.
BUTTON BAND
Join yarn at the top neck ribbing edging on the left side (as worn)
Row 1: place 1 sc in each stitch of the neck ribbing, place sc evenly across the rows to the
hem ribbing. Make sure it lays flat and doesn’t ripple before continuing. Adjust the number
of sc accordingly.
Row 2-4: ch 1, turn, sc in each,
Fasten off.
SLEEVES
Round 1 [WS]: Join yarn in the 2nd(3rd, 3rd, 4th, 4th) (5th, 5th, 5th, 5th) ch from the separation
of the yoke. Your first stitch will be back into the same stitch,
ch 1, hdc 1 into the next 1(1, 2, 2, 2) (3, 3, 3, 3) ch(s), hdc2tog the last ch and the st you worked
your last hdc into from the yoke split (see image) to close the corner gap, hdc 28(30, 32, 34, 34)

FINISHING OFF
Weave in all the ends and sew on buttons to correspond to the buttonholes.
