ACTIVITIES/ACTIONS TO UNDERTAKE DURING DENGUE-RRA

ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION

1. Community - wide search and destroy of mosquito breeding sites


a. Collection of used tires
b. Discarding of tin cans, bottles, and other similar containers
c. Inspection of water containers (drums, pails, tanks, etc.)
d. Conduct of “oplan taob”
e. Pruning/cutting of fortune plants and other similar axilled plants
2. Prompting daily 4 o’ clock habit in the households (through siren, announcements, etc.)

HEALTH PROMOTION ACTIVITIES

1. Posting of IEC materials in public places


2. Distribution of IEC materials
3. Information dissemination during meetings, assembly

OTHER DENGUE PREVENTION AND CONTROL ACTIVITIES

1.Misting/residual spraying
2. Distribution of Drum Net Covers
3. Installation of Insecticide Treated Screens in schools
4. Application of larvicide (kiti-kitiX) to containers, pools with stagnant water
