Advanced Management Programme
in Operations and Supply Chain
Gain the required competencies to
carve your growth story
Prof. Ramabhadran Thirumalai
Deputy Dean, Academic Programmes and Mohali Campus
Indian School of Business
“Businesses are pivoting at a speed never seen before, effecting a fundamental shift in how they
operate. ISB too has moved at pace to ensure that participants to the Advanced Management
Programmes (AMPs) are ahead of the curve as they re-align their career trajectories with the
times. ISB has a rich heritage of innovation in business education, having evolved from a need
for a distinctive business school dedicated to providing world-class management education.
The School is the dream of some of the best minds from the corporate and academic world.
The vision of ISB was to establish an internationally recognised, research-driven, independent
management institution that groomed future leaders of India and the world and the last 22 years
are a testimony to that. ISB leadership and partners include business leaders, entrepreneurs
and academicians, and marquee institutions of higher learning like the Kellogg School of
Management, The Wharton School, London Business School and the Fletcher School of Law
and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
Our faculty are thought leaders in their respective fields and have distinguished themselves as
researchers, management theorists, policy makers, and consultants. This, combined with their
vast experience of living and teaching through disruptive global events will make sure that you
learn everything you need to navigate this and any future event.”
Prof. Chandan Chowdhury
Practice Professor, Indian School of Business
Executive Director, Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing
and Punj Lloyd Institute of Infrastructure Management
“Companies struggle to hire talent and promote employees due to a gap between demand
and supply of skills and competencies. While a global workforce shortage of 11% is expect-
ed by 2030, we also face rising unemployment and downsizing. The solution is preparing our
workforce for the future of jobs.
The rise of robots and AI/ML applications is creating demand for new skills. A study by Citi-
group and the World Bank shows that 69% of India’s workforce might be replaced by auto-
mation. The figures in China, the US, and the UK are 77%, 47%, and 35%, respectively.
Today’s dynamic business landscape requires organizations to shift from traditional methods
to digital and innovative processes. The Advanced Management Programme in Operations
and Supply Chain (AMPOS) offers middle and senior executives an opportunity to learn
modern management concepts. This program equips participants with the skills to enhance
global competitiveness in operations and supply chain systems. By attending AMPOS,
executives understand the industry’s next practices and can navigate today’s business
challenges effectively.”
Prof. Saumya Sindhwani
Associate Dean (Advanced Management Programmes)
Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior (Practice)
Indian School of Business
“The manufacturing, operations, and supply chain sectors are undergoing rapid transformation,
creating a critical need for professionals with advanced skills. By 2028, an estimated 2.4 million
positions in these fields will need to be filled, yet there’s a significant shortage of qualified
talent. To remain competitive and relevant, supply chain professionals must acquire capabilities
beyond traditional domain expertise, including innovation, data analysis, competitive strategy,
and advanced negotiation skills.
To meet these evolving demands, this program offers a cutting-edge curriculum focused on
advanced concepts in operations and supply chain management. It equips participants with
the futuristic skills required in today’s dynamic business landscape. By enrolling in this program,
professionals will learn to manage global supply chain networks more efficiently, maximize
profitability, and gain insights into decisive decision-making to secure a competitive advantage.
The program’s emphasis on innovation and strategic thinking prepares participants to lead in an
increasingly complex and technology-driven supply chain environment.”
