Symptom
When it is attempted to enter confirmation for process order in transaction COR6, error message 'Actual data for QM
characteristics of operation is missing' (message number: RU430) is raised.

Reproducing the Issue
1. Call transaction COR6 .
2. Enter process order number.
3. Press Enter.
4. Error 'Actual data for QM characteristics of operation is missing' (RU430) is raised.
Cause
Pre-requisites:
Inspection lot with origin 03 was created for the process order. Status ILAS (I0281 - Inspection lot assigned) is active for
process order and inspection lot is displayed on Assignments tab.
Status ICHA (I0282 - Planned Insp.Characs allocated) is active for operation of process order, but status QMDA (I0283
- QM data recorded) is missing. This means that there is an inspection lot operation, for which no characteristic result
had been recorded yet.
Option '1 Error message if no insp. results exists' is set for 'Results Rec. (QM)' for corresponding plant - order type
combination in transaction OPK4 (Parameters for Order Confirmation).
Following is documented in the F1Help of this field:
"Influence of QM Results Recording on Confirmation
Use
Controls the system message that appears when you confirm an order, if QM inspection results must be recorded for an
operation but no results are available yet."
This means that if above mentioned conditions are fulfilled, error RU430 is raised properly by the system.
Resolution
Error message 'Actual data for QM characteristics of operation is missing' (message number: RU430) can be avoided in the
following ways:
A. Record results for inspection characteristics of inspection lot. Results recording can be done for example in transaction
QE51N.
B. Change setting 'Results Rec. (QM)' to '0 No message if no insp. results exist' for the corresponding plant - order type
combination in OPK4.
