2D SHAPES PLAY DOUGH MATS
If your students are like mine, they love to use play dough any chance they get!
They always get excited when I introduce a new activity that utilizes play dough
and these shape formation mats are no exception!
How to use these mats:
Print the play dough mats on cardstock and laminate or stick in a sheet
protector. You can also make the mats smaller by printing two to a page.
Show your students how to roll the play dough like a snake and build the shapes
on the mats. It is wonderful fine motor practice!
Each shape mat is also labeled for your
students to practice seeing the name
of the shapes. They can practice
tracing the letters with their finger, use
a dry-erase marker to trace, or build
the words with play dough.
If you like these play dough mats, you

mats for the alphabet, numbers, CVC
words and sight words here!
