INTRODUCTION

The 9th Principals Congress, a highly anticipated event in the field of


education leadership, unfolded with great success and enthusiasm. Held at the
Vigan Convention Center from 25-27 of July, 2023, the congress brought together
educators, administrators, and experts from various educational institutions
nationwide to discuss and share insights on the theme, " DepEd MATATAG:
Stronger Educational Reform in Addressing Challenges in Basic Education."

Day 1: Opening Ceremony and Keynote Addresses

The congress commenced with a grand opening ceremony that showcased a blend of cultural
performances and speeches. Distinguished educators and government officials graced the event,
emphasizing the importance of visionary leadership in shaping the future of education. The opening
keynote address was delivered by some educational leaders, who highlighted the evolving role of
principals in fostering innovation and adaptability.

Day 2: Plenary Sessions

The second day began with plenary sessions that delved into critical topics such as curriculum
