characteristics and behavior
of particles Instructions: Read the story below. Then identify the elements,
compounds, homogenous, and heterogeneous mixtures mentioned.
Learning Target(s):

I can recall the Mia and Liam's adventure began with the first light of dawn, their spirits
characteristics and behavior high and their backpacks ready. They filled their aluminum water
of particles bottles, a choice for its lightweight and durability, ensuring they stayed
hydrated throughout their journey. Tucked alongside the bottles were
energy bars, a mix of nuts, oats, and honey. Each ingredient blending
together yet distinguishable, a perfect snack to fuel their adventure.
With their compass in hand, it’s magnetized iron needle a silent
testament to the simplicity of elemental design, they set their course
northward. The journey was not without its challenges, but crossing a
stream offered a moment of refreshment. They purified the water using
iodine tablets, a substance that magically made the water safe to drink,
a simple yet profound act of science in action. The dense forest they
navigated was alive. The clean air filled their lungs with each breath.
For lunch, they enjoyed slices of cheese and crackers under the
canopy of towering trees. The cheese, has its consistent texture and
flavor while the crackers have their baked-in grains and salt. Their path
was crossed by a butterfly, its iridescent wings catching the light in a
dazzling display of nature's mixtures at its most beautiful. As the day
gave way to night, they gathered stones to build a makeshift campfire
ring, observing the flames dance and crackle. The night sky, clear and
vast, offered a view of the moon, its surface dusted with silica, a
reminder of the substance that makes up the very ground beneath our
feet. Their journey culminated in the discovery of the Crystal Cave, its
walls adorned with quartz crystals, each one a compound of beauty
and mystery, shining brightly in their torchlight. This quest, while aimed
at finding the Crystal Cave, became a journey through the world of
matter, from the simplest of elements to the most complex of mixtures,
each step a discovery, each discovery a lesson in the beautiful
complexity of the world around us.

List down the elements, compounds, homogenous, and heterogeneous
