SAFETY FLIERS

Mechanical:
- Wear correct PPE
- Check earthling done
- Ensure ELCB working
- Check cable damages
- Portable elec. Tools are in condition
- Ensure the dead man switch is working
- Avoid tripping hazard
- Ensure drain pits are covered – 15 mts. radius
- Ensure combustibles removed
- Ensure FE is valid
- Ensure pit and open holes covered
- Quench your molten metals
- Cover/confine flying particles/ sparks
- X-ray keep distance
- Barricade – high pressure area

Civil:
- Check EA valid
- Keep distance with heavy equipment
- Ensure the flag man at the site
- Look for buried cables
- Don’t work on the edges of the pit
- Use a wooden-handled shovel
- Don’t use sharp objects for excavation
- Ensure barrication for pits/trenches
- Ensure signage & hazard splash lights
- Excavated soil – 0.6 meter away from edges
- Use proper PPE
Blasting & Painting:
- Go through the SDS of paints
- Wear correct PPE
- Check earthling done for hoses
- Ensure the dead man switch is working
- Avoid tripping hazard
- Don’t bypass safety device
- Protect your eyes & respiratory system
- Look for wind direction
- Ensure barrication & signage’s
- Use the correct breathing apparatus
- Ensure housekeeping

Scaffolding:
- Fix your chin strap
- Follow the WAH procedure
- Use tool bags
- Use a tool belt
- Ensure your anchoring point stability
- Check your FBH before use
- Ensure barrication & signage’s
- Don’t through the material
- Look for co-worker
- Don’t work in adverse weather
- Use a brass hammer / non-spark tools
- Don’t use scaffolding as a hammer
- Don’t use damaged / rusted materials
Desludging:
- Ensure permit at site
- Know the product
- Stay upwind direction
- Avoid tripping hazards
- Ensure pit and open holes covered
- Ensure earthling for Vehicles
- Ensure 15 meters no hot works
- Use required PPE
- Ensure your airline mask hose is not routed at sharp edge corners
- Use 24 volts’ lights
- Use non spark tools
- Use rubber gloves

Emergency Evacuation:
- Know your siren
- Follow the instructions
- Know your Emergency contact number
- Know your Supervisor's number
- Know your nearest break glass point
- Know your escape route
- Know the wind direction
- Know your nearest transfer point
- Look for wind direction
- Switch off all machineries
- Don’t run / panic
- Look out for your co-workers
- Be calm and follow instruction
- Don’t back to the site unless everything is clear
