22nd Edition of The Dinesh Vyas Legal Essay Competition Brochure
22nd Edition of The Dinesh Vyas Legal Essay Competition Brochure
The first edition of the college magazine was published in 1930, covering discussions on civil
marriage law and the art of advocacy. Throughout its rich history spanning 94 years, the GLC
Magazine has stood as a constant, amid the evolving tapestry of India’s legal landscape. The
magazine has meticulously documented the metamorphosis of legal discourse and serves as a
chronicle of our collective journey in the legal sphere, capturing the past, present, and future
of legal thoughts and practices in India.
Through “méLAWnge”, we want to capture the voice of our diverse student body as well as
promulgate the ideas and insights of illustrious alumni and renowned legal experts. It is for
this reason that students, professors, lawyers and judges have come together, once again, to
breathe life into this edition.
The Dinesh Vyas Public Charitable Trust, since its formation on December 16, 2020 has
efficaciously promoted the cause of education in diverse fields.
In its endeavor to provide a stimulus to education in India, the Trust aims to sponsor various
societies and competitions, award fellowships and scholarships, promote e-learning and
vocational learning and provide appropriate infrastructure for several facilities to encourage
quality education in India.
In furtherance of this objective, the Trust has been actively involved with the Magazine
Committee of Government Law College, Mumbai by sponsoring this Competition. The
Competition serves to instill and promote legal and analytical skills among students by giving
them an opportunity to present their analysis on pertinent legal issues.
