Progression Test – Important Guidelines and Instructions
I: Timing of the Test

Very Important: Test is time-bound.
Important details regarding the Progression Test :
A. The exams can be taken either online or physically at school.
B. Students availing school transport will board the bus as usual (regular school time).
C. Students who are writing the exam online, please follow the guidelines given below:
Students must finish writing the test in 40 minutes. Scanning and submission of the answer script must be done within 10
minutes after the test via Teams Assignment.
II: Test Conduction and Monitoring:
1. Progression Test will be conducted on Microsoft Teams.
2. All students must be present in Class Teacher’s Time link at 08:50 am on all test days. Students will be further guided by the class teacher on conduct
of the test.
3. Students will log into Teams. The camera and microphone should always be switched on. Noncompliance will lead to nullifying the said exam for
the student.
4. Students must write the test under the supervision of invigilators at all times. Else, the test will be nullified.
5. The question paper will be shared by the teacher on Microsoft Teams Assignment section of the respective subject. Students will turn in their answer
script on Microsoft Teams Assignment section ONLY.
6. You can’t take the test again after submission. Multiple attempts are not possible. Verify your answers carefully before submitting. No request to
consider will be entertained after the submission.
7. Questions Paper may comprise of both objective and subjective type questions in all subjects for Grades 4 to 9, 11.
8. Answers for Multiple Choice Questions should be written as an entire phrase or sentence and not just the option number/alphabet of the
answer.
9. Parents must ensure that the devices used for the test is fully charged, camera and mike are working and the device is updated at least 2 days before
the exam date. Also, ensure that internet connectivity is uninterrupted while writing the test. It is recommended to have mobile data connection
ready to avoid any disturbance in the test due to poor internet connectivity
10. Students must keep the camera on during the test. Camera should be placed in such a manner that invigilator is able to see the student. Virtual
background must be disabled.
11. Parents are requested to ensure that the student’s workstation is clear of all the preparatory material so that they can take the test in the most honest
manner.
12. Parents are requested to be with the students when the test starts and help them in case of technical issues. They can leave in 5 minutes after
confirming that everything is fine.
13. Student must retain their answer scripts until the declaration of results. In case of any discrepancies (like scanned copies are not readable), school
may contact parents to seek after the same.
14. School invigilator will be monitoring the students all through the duration of the test.
15. As a backup, download Teams App in your mobile and save the child’s login credentials in it. If there is a power cut or internet issue, attach the test
answer script in Teams Assignment section through Teams App in your mobile.
16. It is extremely important that the student has uninterrupted power supply/internet connectivity and complete the exam on time to avoid
being marked as ABSENT. The retest schedule will be announced at the end of term 1.
17. During 2021-22 academic year, the re-exams will be conducted once in each term for students who missed the exam due to various reasons.
III: Submission of Answer Script
1. All the scanned pages should be serially numbered along with the student’s name on top.
2. Students must scan their answer scripts, convert them into a single PDF file and turn it in through Teams Assignment. The teachers will be guiding the
pattern during revision time for the students to follow
3. Student to name the PDF file by his name, grade, section and subject E.g. Student’s name is Jim Edward from 5D and is submitting an English paper, the
file name should be “Jim Edward 5D English.”
4. IMPORTANT: Ensure that scanned copies are clear, readable and properly aligned.
IV: Attempting of the question paper
1. Students must use a single ruled notebook or single ruled A4 size papers for writing the test.
2. Students must be ready with all the stationery and notebook/papers required for writing the test.
3. Morning sports and post-lunch CCA, ICT and Sport classes will not be conducted on Test days.
4. During exams i.e. 1st December 2021 to 9th December 2021 the below timings would be followed for lessons.

6. Students should log in using the school given login credentials only.
7. All technical issues related to login or submission of work to be resolved on priority. Ensure that your child can access the work posted in the Teams
Assignment section. In case of support then please write to [email protected] before the deadline.
8. Ensure that microphone and camera work properly and get it fixed on priority.
9. Parent should contact the Academic Coordinator immediately if there is any issue during the test.

PS: Progression Test will not be conducted for Third Language (L3) for grades 4 to 9 and ICT for grades 4 to 8, 9 CB, 10 CB.
