1 Introduction
• The Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (MSIDC) is
spearheading significant infrastructure advancements in Maharashtra. As part of this,
the Authority is undertaking a comprehensive Road Development Project within the
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar region, structured under the Engineering, Procurement,
and Construction (EPC) model.
• For the execution of part of these packages, MSIDC has engaged SCC Infrastructure
Private Limited as the Contractor. NSK-(II)-28-(D1+D2) project has a timeline of
30 months for completion, for enhancement of Road Infrastructure to facilitate better
transportation and connectivity in the region.
• The package includes two segments:
1. NSK-II (28D-1) - Improvement of Lasur-Hated budruk -Bhudgaom from Km.
121/570 to Km. 149/570 in the Jalgaon District.
2. NSK-II (28D-2) - Improvement of Parola -Chorwad-Bhadgaon Tal. Km.
182/200 to 210/170 in the Jalgaon District

2 Project Background
• The objective of this project is to enhance the transport infrastructure in these
areas, improving connectivity, road safety, and overall transport efficiency.
• The project encompasses two primary segments, with various land types,
including agricultural land and urban areas. The improvement works will include
upgrading the carriageway to two lanes, addressing deficiencies in road
geometry, and enhancing drainage and safety features.
• The land along the route has been assessed for availability, width, and specific
characteristics to ensure that the design meets regulatory standards and
accommodates future traffic demands.
• This Design Quality Plan outlines the methodologies, standards, and quality
control measures that will be employed throughout the project lifecycle to achieve
the desired outcomes and ensure the successful implementation of the road
improvements.

5.2 Proof Checking:
To enhance the quality and integrity of our detail design, qualified Proof Consultant
will be engaged specifically for vetting all design drawings and documents. This
consultant will conduct comprehensive reviews to ensure compliance with relevant
codes and standards, with respect to scope of work. The Proof Consultant will ensure
that it meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.
The EPC Contractor shall propose a review mechanism system and the
documentation requirement along with Proof Consultant, for easy and time effective
process to release the approved drawing/document for execution of the project
5.3 Release of Execution Drawings at site:
Once the documentation is reviewed and approved by the Client/Authority’s
Engineer, the approved drawings will be issued at site for project execution. These
drawings will serve as the standard reference for all construction activities, ensuring
that the work aligns with the approved design specifications and regulatory
requirements. Regular inspections will be conducted by representative design
member/s throughout the execution phase to confirm adherence to the approved
designs and to ensure work is executed as per latest approved drawings. The design
team shall also address any potential issues promptly to avoid any delay in project
duration.
5.4 Design Revision Process:
In the event any revisions are required in the approved design during the execution
of work, The EPC Contractor shall propose the changes to the Proof Consultant
/Authority’s Engineer and the same get approved before execution. Once approved
from the concerned, the revised design will be issued for implementation on-site.
5.5 Following Contract Guidelines:
The EPC Contractor committed to strictly following the contract documents for the
design of road and other related Structures. This adherence ensures that all aspects
of our design align with the specified standards and requirements, promoting safety,
functionality, and durability.
7
5.6 Design Standards and Safety Consideration:
Our approach includes following of Contract specifications, diligent application of
best practices in design, by maintaining Safety in Design.
5.7 Quality Control and Testing Procedures:
All quality testing parameters shall be performed to achieve best quality work as per
design and project requirement.
6 Internal Review and Drawing Submission Process
• The EPC Contractor is dedicated to maintain the highest standards of quality in
the design process by implementing a robust internal review system for all
drawings and technical specifications.
• At the initial stage, each drawing undergoes a comprehensive review by our
design team to ensure compliance with project requirements and technical
specifications.
• This includes a meticulous examination of design elements, accuracy, and
adherence to Construction standards.
• Final approved Drawings and Documents shall be issued to Project site with a
copy to all stake holders for implementation and necessary Hardcopy/Soft Copy
shall be stored in systematic way for future record and references.
• Any necessary revisions shall be addressed and documented prior to finalization.
• This systematic approach not only minimizes errors but also ensures that all
design outputs meet the project’s quality expectations and regulatory standards,
and thereby enhancing overall project efficiency.
• Final Submission in the form of “As-Built” records shall be prepared following
the exact details of the project highway work executed on site in line with the
codal provisions and Specifications and Standards.
7 Document Numbering System
• To ensure efficient tracking and management of all design documents, our
company is committed to maintain a rigorous document numbering system.
• Each drawing, specifications etc. will be assigned a unique identifier, which
facilitates easy reference and retrieval throughout the project lifecycle.
• This systematic approach enables our team to maintain an organized repository
8
of documents, ensuring that all revisions are clearly documented and accessible.
• By adhering to this numbering protocol, we enhance transparency, minimize the
risk of errors, and streamline communication among stakeholders, thereby
supporting the overall integrity and quality of the design process.
