Dedication
We dedicate this book with love and gratitude to our dear
Mocaccino, a little kitty who came into our lives and
completely transformed them.

With the firm intention of giving him the best throughout

his life, we complemented his diet with various
homemade recipes. Today, we are pleased to share them
in this book.

Each page is infused with the joyful and loving spirit he

gave us. Through these recipes, lovingly illustrated, we
hope you find moments of joy and connection, just as we
did with our beloved Mocaccino. His memory lives on in
every dish and every page of this book, which we dedicate
with affection to all those who love their pets as family
members.

Chapter I
Tips Before
You Start Cooking

50
Small Notes
to Remember:

Preferably, feed your cat organic and natural food,

as there is limited research on the effects that
pesticides and chemical fertilizers can have on
cats.

Remember to introduce new foods and

ingredients gradually, or you can simply
get your cat used to variety from a young
age.

A general tip for cooking, whether it's for

you or your pet, is to be careful with cross-
contamination and hygiene.

Remember that you should not use seasonings or

oils unless the recipe indicates it, or unless they are
in very small amounts. Some seasonings may be
dangerous.

51
Never give cooked bones to your cat, as they can
splinter and cause choking or internal damage,

Cook proteins thoroughly to avoid

bacteria or parasites. If you decide to
follow a raw diet or cooking method,
make sure to research it thoroughly to
ensure safety. Cooking hard vegetables
helps prevent choking.

Cats prefer food that is warm or at room

temperature, with the exception of ice cream.
Always thaw any frozen food in the refrigerator
the day before serving. Avoid serving anything
hot to prevent burns.

The best and healthiest option is to give

them lean meats, without parts like
chicken skin or the fatty parts of meats.

Finally, remember that your cat is not human, and

many human foods are harmful to them. Research
new ingredients not included here, or ingredients
on labels that you're unsure about.

52
‘Canned food cans can be
dangerous; crush or wash them
thoroughly to prevent your cat
from searching through the trash
and getting cut.’

Traditional cakes are often decorated with ingredients that
are not safe for our cats. That's why we’ve provided some
suitable alternatives to decorate recipes specially designed
for them, making our celebrations with them even more
special.

Decorative Cream with Mashed

Potatoes

1. Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into

small pieces.
2. Cook the potatoes in boiling water until
they are soft.
3. Drain the cooked potatoes and mash
them until smooth.
4. Place the smooth mixture in a piping
bag, and it will be ready to decorate
cakes.

Note: Do not
add salt or any
other seasoning

59
When you want to add a
topping to the recipes,
choose your cat's favourite
treats. It's important to use
only products made for
felines.

Natural Yogurt Frosting

Natural yogurt is suitable for cats as it is a

source of probiotics and healthy bacteria
that can help maintain the balance of
their intestinal flora. It is also a source of
calcium and protein, essential for your
cat's bone and muscle health.

Make sure the yogurt does not contain

added sugars or artificial sweeteners,
especially check that it does not have
Xylitol, a sweetener that is toxic to cats.

Catnip

Catnip in cats' food can be beneficial because it stimulates

their interest and appetite, making them more receptive to
food. However, it is important to use it in moderation and
consult with a veterinarian if there are any specific concerns
about your cat's health.
