REGISTRATION AND INITIAL LOGIN ON MEIN
GOETHE.DE
1. Access to the Mein Goethe.de portal is granted via the Sign In button at
www.goethe.de.
Click on the Sign In button to open the drop-down menu.
Click on Log-in in the drop-down menu.
Click Register on your first visit.
Tip: As an alternative to these written instructions,
you can watch the video tutorial "Registrierung und
Erstanmeldung auf Mein Goethe.de".
2. Please enter your e-mail address, a password of
your choice and your country or region.
Please take note of the applicable terms of use and
the privacy policy.
Complete the process by clicking Register.

3. In order to complete your registration successfully, please open the e-mail in your
e-mail inbox with the sender noReply-kdf21 and the subject My Goethe.de / activate
access.
4. Click on the confirmation link contained therein2. The screen you are already
familiar with then opens. Enter your e-mail address and password, then click Log in.

Only by sending the e-mail can we check whether the registration actually originates from the e-mail
address entered.

Warning: If you do not see an e-mail with sender [email protected] in your inbox, this may be due
to the following reasons:
- From the point of view of your e-mail programme and your e-mail provider, the activation e-mail
comes from an unknown sender and contains standardised content. E-mails with these
characteristics are often not delivered directly. Please check your e-mail provider’s “Spam” or
“Unknown” folders (they may have different names for you) to see if our activation e-mail is
there.
- If this is not the case, you may have made a mistake when entering the e-mail address. Repeat
the registration on Mein Goethe.de. If you receive the notification that the address is already
registered, the error lies elsewhere. Please contact the language course office or your local
teacher.
5. You will be taken to the home page of your account.
6.1. First click on My Profile.
You can enter your personal details here. Edit the fields First Name, Last Name,
Date of Birth and Country/Region. Further details are optional. Please save the
details.
6.2. Click Account Settings and Privacy in the navigation bar on the left.
Here, you can change your login details (e-mail address and password) and your
preferred language.
6.3. Click on Exams or Courses in the navigation bar on the left to add an exam or a
course. In the customer number or registration code input field, you can enter the
code.
7. To log out of Mein Goethe.de, click on your name and then on Log out.
