AN ORDINANCE NAMING IGBARAS RURAL HEALTH UNIT TO IGBARAS PRIMARY CARE
FACILITY
WHEREAS, the Igbaras Rural Health Unit is a local government owned facility responsible in
providing primary health services to the constituency of the municipality that includes preventive,
diagnostic, curative and rehabilitative medical care;
WHEREAS, in the DOH Administrative Order (AO) No. 2020-0047 entitled "Rules and
Regulations Governing the Licensure of Primary Care Facilities in the Philippines" the Rural Health Unit,
are so labeled as PRIMARY HEALTH CARE FACILITY, to be regulated to ensure that the services being
delivered to patients comply with the standards set by an assessment tool for licensing, likewise, in
compliance of other related relevant issuances;
WHEREAS, with the compliance of the standard set, the health care facility shall be granted with
the License to Operate by the DOH and registered in the National Health Facility Registry (NHFR), that
will serve under the Universal Health Care Program;
WHEREAS, it is mandated by the State under the Philippine Constitution to protect and promote
the right to health of the people, and this measure specifically is geared towards the provision of quality
health care in the country;
SECTION 1. Title. This Ordinance shall be known as "NAMING OF THE IGBARAS RURAL
HEALTH UNIT TO IGBARAS PRIMARY CARE FACILITY".
SECTION 2. Purpose.
a) Rural Health Unit will be named and labeled as Igbaras Primary Care Facility.
b) To ensure that services delivered to patients comply with the standards set by the Department
of Health (DOH) and other concerned government agencies.
SECTION 3. Separability Clause.
If, for any reason, a part of this Ordinance is declared illegal or invalid, other parts or provisions
hereof which are not affected thereby shall remain valid and in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. Repealing Clause. All previous ordinance and rules/regulations which are
inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby deemed, modified or repealed accordingly.
SECTION 5. Effectivity Clause. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval and
compliance with posting in three conspicuous places in the Municipality of Igbaras.
