Statement of Purpose: Master of Science in Data Analytics

I am writing to express my fervent interest in enrolling in the Master's in Data Analytics program at
[University Name]. After three years of passionately pursuing a career in one of the most challenging
examinations globally, the UPSC’s Civil Services Examination of India, I find myself drawn towards
the world of data analytics. Through this statement, I wish to elucidate my motivations for this
transition and how my experiences, including an enticing job offer from Kantar, have uniquely
prepared me for success in the realm of data analytics.

In order to fulfil my life's ambitions, I have always listened to my intuition. I put a lot of effort into
getting accepted to VNR VJIET College, which is affiliated with JNTU University of Hyderabad, one of
the finest universities in South India, for Electronics and Communication Engineering. During my
undergraduate degree, after dealing with topics like Object-Oriented Programming, C, Java, Python,
MYSQL, MATLAB, Data Structures, along with lab sessions, I understood the significance of
programming languages.

I find practical learning to be incredibly fascinating, and I pay close attention to how new
technologies operate in the present. This passion compelled me to do many real-time projects such
as “JARVIS” which is a “voice based home control system” to our house done by interfacing high
level languages like Python with I.O.T, “Key-Aggregate Searchable Encryption(KASE)”, which
capacitates selective sharing of encrypted data with different users via public/cloud storage, “Speech
Conversion from Text Image” using Maximally Stable Extremal regions(MSER) and Optical Character
Recognition (OCR) in MATLAB, “Smart Irrigation System using Weather Prediction” by taking the data
from humidity, temperature and moisture sensors placed in the farm and with the time of the day,
the A.I algorithm written in Python predicts the chance of rain. “Fire Detection and Alerting System”
using GSM, GPS modules and Arduino through which I made it possible that we receive an SMS or
Call whenever there is a fire at our home.

My commitment to innovative projects extended beyond the confines of academic excellence. I

ensured that my project endeavors were not limited to securing high grades but transcended to the
larger arena of "Tech-Expos" held at a national level. At these exhibitions, attended by scholars,
professors, and students from diverse educational institutions across our country, I presented my
projects with fervor. My team and I were lauded as top performers for our project "JARVIS" at the
Tech-Expo hosted by the esteemed Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), a premier
institute in India. This recognition attested to our dedication to innovation and our ability to convey
complex ideas to a varied audience.

Upon completing my undergraduate studies, I was fortunate to be offered an enticing position as a

Programmer at Kantar, the world's leading data, insights, and consulting company. This offer was
the result of an intensive selection process that I navigated successfully. Despite this remarkable
opportunity, I was compelled to explore the allure of the Civil Services Examination – an aspiration
that symbolized my commitment to contributing positively to society on a grand scale. My journey,
though challenging, provided me with a wealth of insights into perseverance, adaptability, and the
significance of introspection.

My journey towards the Civil Services Examination has provided me with a robust foundation in
critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. This experience has instilled in me a deep
appreciation for structured analysis and the ability to make informed decisions based on data. These
skills, coupled with my innate curiosity and enthusiasm for working with data, have fueled my desire
to transition into the realm of data analytics.In the face of challenges encountered during my civil
services pursuit, I have come to recognize that my true passion lies within the realm of data
analytics. My decision not to embark on the path of a programmer was driven by my aspiration to
serve society through a different avenue. My experiences, while divergent from the conventional
career trajectory, have endowed me with a unique skill set that I am eager to channel into the data
analytics field.

I have been captivated by the advent of the digital era and the explosion of data, and I am keen to
learn how data-driven insights may influence strategic decision-making in a variety of industries. I

allowed me to guide a team toward shared objectives. Our collective efforts were rewarded with
numerous accolades, which not only celebrated our achievements but also highlighted the
importance of effective collaboration and strategy in achieving success.

has shaped me into an individual with a steadfast commitment to my goals. While the civil services
