Subject: Apology for Prolonged Absence
Dear Sheikh Abdul-Ahad,
Hope you are doing well and fine. I am writing to sincerely apologize for my
prolonged absence from Al-Wafi. I understand the importance of regular attendance and the impact that
my {extended} absence may have had on my academic progress and the disruption it may have caused to
the classroom and it’s environment.
I would like to further express my deepest apologies for any inconvenience or concern that my absence
may have caused to you, my teachers, and my fellow classmates.
The reasons for my prolonged absence mainly consists of purely my school {PISES} as of difference in
schedule our exams were further extended as of Ramadhan break, .
I understand the importance of maintaining open and transparent communication with the school
administration regarding any issues or challenges that may affect my attendance or academic
performance. In hindsight, I realize that I should have reached out to you or another school authority to
explain my situation and seek guidance on how to proceed.
I assure you that I am fully committed to return to Al-Wafi, perhaps performing better with utmost due
interest required, my absence weren’t out of my wishes or desires but due to out-going examinations and
constant (re-)assessments further these weren’t any ordinary ones but required a comprehensive
reassurance from all of the distracting events, BUT still however I managed to score moderately good
marks though being absent and even exceeding the limit of 8 days which weren’t in my knowledge
While I acknowledge that these reasons may have warranted my absence, I realize that I should have
communicated with the school and sought appropriate approval for an extended leave of absence.
However, Once again, I apologize for my prolonged absence and any inconvenience it may have caused. I
will make every effort to prevent such occurrences in the future and demonstrate my dedication to my
education and responsibilities as a student.
