TRAFFIC ORDER NO: 139/2024
PINK SANDS SCRAMBLING EVENT
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15TH, 2024
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the Pink Sands Scrambling event will
occur on Sunday, December 15th, 2024, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. The following roads will be
affected:
EVENT INFORMATION: The Pink Sands Scrambling event will commence at Coney Island Park on
December 15th, 2024, at 7:00 am and is expected to conclude by 5:00 pm.
TRAFFIC CONTROL: Police Officers and event representatives will be present to direct traffic. All
motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with the
participants. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the Police
Officers and event representatives to assist with traffic control for this event.
ROAD CLOSURES: The section of Coney Island Road from Ducks Puddle Drive to Coney Island Park
will be closed from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. The section of Coney Island Road
between the Bailey's Bay Cricket Club and Coney Island Park will be used as a
pit area for the participants. Access to the road closure area will be limited to
event officials, emergency vehicles and designated individuals.
PARKING: VIP parking will be at the Bailey's Bay Cricket Club. General Admission parking
will be at the Ducks Puddle Park and Annex.
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and
apologizes for any inconvenience that may result. Should there be any questions regarding this event,
please direct queries to the attention of the event representative, Larry Symons on 501-3168.
In addition, the Bermuda police are hereby authorized to "Close off' streets or portions of streets
and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.
