The current scope under the SOW is for supply as well as shall
be installed, implemented & tested at the location as identified
in the Schedule. The project will be implemented on OEM based
Structured Cabling System solution. AVCOM will be responsible
for all manpower resources, supervision, tooling, for the
proposed cabling system to be installed.
Nomenclature/Ferruling
ION/JLL & AVCOM, would discuss and agree to arrive at the final
nomenclature required for UTP as well Fiber cabling, so that
same pattern can be followed at all the upcoming facilities
including stores, DC, Permanent office, site office, etc.
Laying of Cables
a. UTP cable laying from end to ends like server/Network
Racks to the termination end i.e. Information outlet (I/O’s).
b. Fiber cables (MM) laying between SERVER/NETWORK
Racks.
Scope of Works for Structured Cabling Components.
Identifications/Ferruling
a. All the Laid Cables (UTP/Fiber) on both the ends to be
properly tagged with thermal printed labels to avoid any
mismatch and easy to trace in future too.
Terminations
a. All the UTP cables termination on both ends like (Racks as
well as Field ends).
All the Fiber Cable splicing on both ends (Rack to Rack)
Testing of Cables
a. All the UTP Cables to be tested with Fluke Meter for
proper db losses and other parameters specified by OEM.
b. All the Fiber cores to be tested with Fluke Meter for
proper db losses and other parameters specified by OEM.
Scope of Works for Structured Cabling Components.
Test Reports
EIA/TIA Channel Link Test with auto saves report (FLW)
conducted on UTP as well Fiber
Labelling
a. All the Jack Panels to be labeled.
b. All the Face Plates to be labeled
c. All the resource ends patch cords to be labeled (Jack
Panel to Switch).
Tagging of Racks
a. All the Server, Network Racks to be proper tagged with
marker of cleared mentioned of Location and same would
be clearly visible.
Floor Layout
Floor numbering layout to be fixed on proper place near the
Racks in their respective area
Documentation:-
Documentation to be prepared that will consist of all drawings,
floor layouts with clearly mentioned Information outlets with
their corresponding numbers and location, cable route diagram,
Racks actual positions, Racks top view, Rack front view,
equipment’s positioning in rack, panel and other clearly
mentioned in racks and many other details that gives the entire
site overview on one location.
Certifications
OEM certifications i.e. AVCOM’s responsibilities to applied for
OEM certification for all installed UTP as well Fiber ports till the
certificate for #25Years handed over to client.
