EASYPEASY Bandana
The EASYPEASY Bandana is a small, simple triangular scarf. It is ideal as a scarf to pimp up sweaters or
shirts and of course to warm the neck. At just under 75 g, the shawl is a real lightweight - the perfect little
accessory for spring that wants to be knitted in as many colors as possible (at least by me ;-)
As the name suggests, the EASYPEASY Bandana is super easy to knit and therefore ideally suited as a
beginner's project. The scarf is worked sideways, i.e. you start at the right tip, increase to the widest part,
the middle tip, and then decrease until the left tip is reached.

MAIN STICH PATTERNS

Stockinette stitch (ST st) in rows: knit the RS, purl the WS.
Selvedge stitch: knit the first and last stitch of every RS row and purl the first and last st of every WS row.

GAUGE/TENSION
Worked in St st using 4.0 mm size ndls: 21 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm (measured washed and lying flat)
Please adjust needle size if necessary, to obtain correct gauge.

METHOD

CO 3 sts using 4.0 mm size circ. ndl and purl 1 WS row. Then work inc’s as follows:

Row 1 (RS): k1, 1 yo, k to end of row.

Row 2 (WS): p to 2 sts before end of row, purl the yo through the back loop (= twisted purl st)1, p1 (= 4 sts).

Rep rows 1 and 2, until there are 77 sts on the ndl, or until the first ball of ‚Como‘ yarn is used up. The widest point, i.e.
the center tip of the scarf has now been reached and the knitted piece should measure around 52 cm/20.5 in.

Work 2 rows even (= without inc’s).

Then start decreasing, as follows:

Row 1 (RS): k1, k2tog, k to end of row.

Row 2 (WS): purl across.

Rep rows 1 and 2, until only 3 sts remain on the ndl. In the next RS row, BO the rem sts knitwise.

Tip: “As is customary with stockinette stitch, the scarf initially rolls up a lot and has little resemblance to a triangle. It
should therefore be washed and, if necessary, stretched! "

FINISHING
Weave in all ends. Handwash the scarf once, carefully squeeze out the water with a towel (do not wring it!). Gently pull
the scarf into shape and, if necessary, pin the scarf onto a damp surface and let it dry flat. The scarf becomes even
smoother after washing and the edges no longer curl up as much.
