DAKSH Manual 2013
1. Introduction:
Power utilities have wide range of functional requirements like Network documentation, Metering,
Billing, Revenue collection, System analysis and Audit. They look for specialized solutions in every
area with a drive to monitor the organization performance continuously and take appropriate
decisions in attaining the targets. Base Computer Station Software (BCS) is thus designed to assist
utilities to perform many of the above functions.
DAKSH acquires data from the meter through CMRI, AMR and stores as DDT file
format (open source) for Analysis, Creating reports for Billing, Tariff, Tamper and Load Survey
Records. It also provides instant data on phase voltages, currents, Active, Reactive & Apparent
power and cumulative power phase wise, tariff wise, power failures, etc presented in user friendly
charts. The software is flexible and can be seamlessly integrated for end to end coverage and
generate reports through various options such as MS-Excel, MS-Word and PDF.BCS software is
designed not only as a standalone but also for direct integration to AMR systems for remote
monitoring and configuration. HPL Electric & Power Pvt. Ltd. presently has software for Single
Phase & LTCT / Whole Current and for HT meters supporting data downloading through Optical
port, RS 232, RS 485 & TCP/IP (GSM & GPRS Modem).
