1. Pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 427 s. 2024 dated September
24, 2024. This office announces the conduct of District Eagle Quiz Bee
on October 9, 2024. Elementary Level will be held at Nabangig Central
School and Secondary Level at Rondina-Atendido National High School.
2. The contest is open to bona fide Grade 6 and Grade 10 students (School
Year: 2024-2025) from public and private schools. The 1 st and 2nd placer
of this event will qualify in the Division elimination.
3. The contest will have two (2) categories: Elementary and Secondary.
The scope of the contest generally covers questions related to
environment under the following subjects.
Elementary: General Information/Current Events, Science/Ecology,
and Mathematics.
Secondary: General Information/Current Events, Science
(Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Environmental Science/ Ecology) and
Mathematics.
4. No registration fee shall be collected. Traveling and incidental expenses
and per diem of the participants (Contestants, Coaches, Contest
Administrator, and Support Staff) shall be charged against Local
Funds/School MOOE while those of the Education Program Supervisors
shall be charged to Division Funds subject to the usual accounting and
auditing rules and regulations.
5. The Contest Mechanics and Guidelines and the List of Executive
Management Team and Technical Working Group are found in enclosures
1 and 2 respectively.
6. This Memorandum serves as a Travel Order for the participants.
7. For the Information and guidance of all concerned.

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES
District Eagle Quiz Bee
1. This contest will be conducted in a Quiz Show Format.
2. There shall be thirteen (13) easy questions, seven (7) average questions and five (5) difficult
questions. All contestants shall answer all questions in the 3 rounds. Clincher questions shall
be given in case the top scorer is from the same school.
3. Each correct answer in every round will be given corresponding points, to wit;
Easy - 1 point
Average - 3 points
Difficult/Clinchers - 5 points
4. Each contestant will provide their answer sheet.
5. Each question must be answered within the time allocated for it, wit:
Easy - 15 seconds (Without Computation)
- 60 seconds (With Computation)
Average - 30 seconds (Without Computation)
- 60 seconds (With Computation)
Difficult/Clincher - 30 seconds (Without Computation)
- 60 seconds (With Computation)
6. The Quiz Master shall read each question twice and the time shall start only after the Quiz
Master says “GO”.
7. The contestants will answer only after the GO signal.
8. The contestant must write his/her final answer on the answer sheet. If the contestant wishes
to change his/her answer, cross it out, then write the final answer and encircle it.
9. Answers must be spelled correctly, with proper nouns capitalized, the correct number of
significant figures called for in the case of numerical answers, and with the correct unit of
measure. The use of calculator and cellphone is not allowed.
10. After the tome allotted has lapsed, each contestant will submit their answer sheet to the
designated couriers. The couriers will submit their answer sheet to designated Board of
Judges. The Board of Judges will validate, check and acknowledge whether the answer of
each contestant is correct or not.
11. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and unappealable.
12. The total score of the contestant shall be declared after the three rounds.

13. The contestants final score will be ranked and the top 2 contestants shall represent the
district in the 31st Division Eagle Quiz Bee on October 13, 2024, which the Public Schools
District Supervisor will endorse.
14. The duly registered coach of the contestant is the only person authorized to file a protest. All
protest shall be referred to the Board of Judges before the Quiz Master reads the next
question.
15. Any violation of the rules shall cause the disqualification of the contestant.
