Winter Vacation Homework for Grade 8 (ICT - MS PowerPoint)

Instructions: Complete the following tasks during your winter break. The homework includes both
theory and practical assignments focused on MS PowerPoint. Additionally, you are assigned some
online resources for further study.

Theory Questions:

1. What are the main features of Microsoft PowerPoint that help in creating presentations?

2. Explain the difference between a slide layout and a slide design in PowerPoint.

3. What are animations in PowerPoint? Describe how animations can enhance a


presentation.

4. How can you insert multimedia (images, audio, video) into a PowerPoint presentation?

5. What are slide transitions, and why are they important in a PowerPoint presentation?

Practical Assignments:

1. Create a PowerPoint Presentation:

o Design a 5-slide presentation on a topic of your choice.

o Include at least one image, one video, and use transitions and animations between
slides.

2. Slide Design:

o Create a title slide with a custom background and a subtitle.

o Add at least two slides with bullet points and apply different slide layouts.

3. Multimedia in PowerPoint:

o Insert an audio clip into a slide and set it to play automatically when the slide is
shown.

external websites.
