Advocacy Campaign
I. OBJECTIVES
The Vacc2School Campaign aims to:
1. Inform and engage the Department’s stakeholders, especially teachers,
in the promotion of vaccination and other related policies to mitigate
COVID-19.
2. Maximize available platforms for the contextualized BIDA Solusyon Plus
COVID-19 campaign of Deped; and
3. Aid the Department of Health (DOH) and the Interagency Task Force on
Emerging Infectious Diseases- (IATF-EID) in promoting BIDA SOLUSYON
PLUS campaign in the education corner.
This School Plan aims to:
1. Achieve atleast 75% (of the total number of personnel) vaccination rate in
the office or school during the new school-year
2. Hang VACC2SCHOOL streamers, banners, infographics, and posters on the
school premises
3. Conduct VACC2SCHOOL advocacies (RESBAKUNA) during LAC Sessions,
PTA Meetings, and other limited face-to-face engagements to be facilitated
by School Health and Nutrition Personnel.
4. Active and continuous advocacy on social media through the Deped TAYO
Facebook pages by sharing infographics, FAQs and other social media
collaterals on COVID-19 from legit sources like Deped Philippines, Deped
Tayo Calapan City)
5. Putting up of bulletin board within the campus and display any informative
materials concerning the importance of COVID-19 Vaccination.

III. ACTIVATION, DEACTIVATION, AND NON-ACTIVATION OF
CONTINGENCY PLAN
The contingency measure in this document aligns with the 2019 NDRRMC
Harmonized National Contingency Plan (HNCP) for COVID-19 to the
Implementation of Limited Face-to-Face Learning Modality. This will enable
DepEd to have better coordination horizontally, i.e. DepEd with other NDRRMC
agencies, and vertically, i.e. DepEd Central Office down to the schools.
A. Activation
The activation of DepEd’s Contingency Plan for COVID-19 to the
Implementation of Limited Face-to-Face Learning Modality is aligned with the
activation of the Harmonized National Contingency Plan. This includes any of
the following triggers:
There is a confirmed case in the students at the school.
There is a confirmed cases in the teachers at the school.
There is a confirmed report of community outbreak within the
barangay.
Once the school nurse validated the report cases on the Barangay Health
Emergency Response Team (BHERT) in the Feeder Barangay. The school
nurse will notify the Principal and the SDRRM Coordinator to activate the
guidelines and procedures to prevent possible direct exposure from the
reported individual. From the contact tracing, the individual being exposed
indirectly will isolate/remain themselves in their room to lessen the
possible exposure of every individual. The school will conduct a full
disinfection right after.

There is no confirmed report of community outbreak within the
barangay.
Normalcy of the situation and recovery of every reported/confirmed
individual.
Once the reported/confirmed cases among the feeder barangays are
subject to its recovery. School Nurse will monitor the said status and
therefore notify the School Head and the SDRRM Coordinator to deactivate
the Plan and return to the new normal status within the school. All parts of
the school are subjected for disinfection to ensure the virus-free
environment.
C. Non-activation
Situation within the community is no longer threatening.
There is no reported case within the feeder barangay.

Upon observing the Minimum Health Standards, the school prepare a
handwashing area on the gate entrance. Temperature Checking and Health
Monitoring Form. The gate has the provisions of facemask and face shields so
that Every individual entering the school comply on the Minimum Health
Standard.
Signages, Maps were also displayed especially the Entrance and Exit Route.
Plastic Barriers in every desk are being installed for another protection in every
students during the face-to-face learning Modality. System of Procedures are
being prepared in terms of any unexpected events may happen. Frequent
Disinfection are also done everyday.
Contact tracing should begin immediately after a confirmed case has been
identified to avoid any delays in reducing transmission through public health
action, regardless of whether the confirmed case is a student, teacher or other
member of school staff. Contact tracing should be carried out by local public
health authorities, who may need to work closely with school authorities when
the contact tracing involves a school. Contacts should be managed based on
their exposure category. Information should be given to parents about the
symptoms to look out for in children, as well as where to access testing and
medical advice. If symptoms occur in contacts, they should immediately be
isolated and provided with medical attention and promptly tested.
