1.1 Discuss four (4) potential impacts technology has on teaching and learning (8)

• Enhanced Access to Information: Technology enables students and teachers to


have access to a wide range of information and educational resources which
allow them to deliver more comprehensive training experiences. It also allows us
to access a vast amount of educational material available on the Internet. This
promotes the teaching and learning process in both directions.

• Increased Student Engagement: Technology allows for a more interactive and


engaged classroom environment, making collaboration and communication
easier between students and teachers. The motivation of students can be
enhanced by interactive technologies such as learning applications or
multimedia resources, which will make education more enjoyable and efficient.

• Develops important skills: Students are able to develop important digital literacy
skills that will be essential for success in the 21 st century by integrating
technology into their learning environment. The use of technology in learning
helps students develop the critical digital skills that are required for a modern
workspace.

• Personalized Learning: Technology makes it possible to deliver personalized


learning experiences through adapted learning platforms and tools, taking into
account the needs of each student according to his or her educational style. The
aim of personalized learning is to involve students in the process, building on
their interests, skills, and strengths, thus creating intrinsic motivation to achieve
and succeed.

1.2 Explain four (4) implications of technology on teaching and learning

• Professional Development: Effective use of new technologies may need to be


learned by both teachers and students, In order to make it easier for teachers to
incorporate technology into their teaching practice and ensure that they can
take advantage of technological solutions in improving educational outcomes,
continuous professional development is needed.
• Access to diverse learning opportunities: Technology can exacerbate existing
inequalities in access to resources and digital skills, highlighting the need for all
students to have equitable access to technologies and digital learning.
Technology allows access to a wide range of learning materials and resources,
so that teaching is more diverse and inclusive.

• Digital Literacy: Digital literacy skills, including the ability to critically assess
online information and use digital tools effectively, will be required of teachers
and students in integrating technology. Although technology can provide many
benefits, obtaining, maintaining, and upgrading tech tools can be costly.

• Changing role of teachers: Technology requires that teachers adjust their


teaching methods and introduce new tools and resources to facilitate learning
for students. It calls for a shift in teaching methods to more student centered,
interactive, and project based approaches, which foster critical thinking and
problem solving skills.

2.1 Mention any two (2) online teaching strategies that teachers can use to make
content accessible .

• Creating Interactive Content: In order to increase student engagement, it could


include Quizzes, Slideshows, etc. in the lesson plan. Teachers may provide students
with access to audio lectures and educational materials on the Internet prior to
class in order to allow for increased interactivity and interaction between classes.

• Captioning and Transcripts: Giving captions for recordings and transcripts for sound
substance can make the fabric available to understudies with hearing impedances
or those who incline toward to perused along. In order to meet different learning
styles, use audio, video, pictures and texts.
