HR Consultant (6 Months)

Serve as a first point-of-contact for client departments regarding day-to-day HR value chain related queries and their resolutions.
iThemba LABS seeks to appoint a Human Resources Consultant responsible for providing HR Value adding services to line management
and employees, such services include but are not limited to Recruitment and Selection, Onboarding, Perfomance Management,
Employee Relations and proper application of HR policies and procedures in compliance with prevailing legislation as well as strategic HR
initiatives to ensure the objectives of the organisation are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for overseeing the administration of all HR policies and procedure to ensure effective implementation of all human
resources services within the Facility.
* Provide an overall effective recruitment and selection service ensuring adherence to policies and legislation.
* Designing and facilitating employee onboarding / orientation process as well as exit management.
* Ensuring that all roles have standardized job descriptions according to job families and new or revised roles are evaluated.
* Facilitate and coordinate Employee Relations matters to promote harmonious working environment by coaching and guiding both
line managers.
* Assist and advise management on Labour Relations matters, ensuring that the correct procedures are followed on issues such as:
disciplinary, performance management and grievances.
* Support and drive performance management and talent management processes within departments.
* Advise and coach line managers and staff on the interpretation, application and implementation of HR
policies/procedures/processes/systems.
* Assist Line Managers in completing succession plans and identifying talent within their respective departments.
* Establish and maintain professional business partnering relationships with staff members, management team and other stakeholders.
* Responsible for administration of new engagements and exits, ensuring that all documentation is submitted to payroll on prescribed
due date.
* Provide Heads of Department and HR Manager with monthly HR dashboard/metrics.
Key Requirements:
Qualification:
* Matric/Grade 12
* B Tech Degree or NQF 7 equivalent qualification in HR/Industrial Psychology or related field
* Minimum of 5 years HR working experience of which 3 years must have been an HR Generalist
Experience:
* Sound Knowledge and experience of HR Legislation, statutory regulation, Policies and Practices
* Knowledge of HRIS Systems
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Advanced computer proficiency levels in MS Office
* Very good communication skills, verbal and written
* Good attention to detail
* Conflict resolution
Knowledge:
* Coaching management on implementation human resources policies and procedures
* Experience in facilitating HR programs /initiatives with established policies and procedures
* Experience preparing and maintaining HR reports/metrics
* Conducting audits of HR activities to ensure compliance
