2.1. Introduction: Paraphrase (1 sentence):


Paraphrasing techniques:
 Synonyms/Thesaurus/Antonyms => sử dụng từ đồng nghĩa/trái nghĩa
 Word form => thay đổi từ loại
 Sentence structure =>thay đổi cấu trúc câu (VD: chủ động – bị động)
 Generalization/Specification => khái quát hóa/cụ thể hóa đối tượng

The provided chart illustrates the proportions of women who were out of jobs in every nation of
the UK in two consecutive years 2013 and 2014.

2.2. Overview: (1-2 sentences)


 General feature: điểm chung của tất cả hoặc hầu hết các đối tượng
 Highlight: chọn 1 đối tượng nổi bật nhất (luôn cao /thấp nhất, tăng / giảm mạnh nhất)

Overall, a decreasing trend was recorded in the chart, with the exception of the figure for
Scotland. It is also evident that Northern Ireland experienced the most significant decrease in
its data.

In 2013, the rate of unemployed women in England was the most remarkable at 6.8%, followed
by that of Scotland with 6.1%. One year later, while there was a decline of 0.3% in the figure for
England, Scotland recorded the opposite pattern with an increase of 0.6% in its data.

Meanwhile, the ratio of underworked females in Wales was witnessed as the lowest in the former
year 2013, which was 2% less than the one of Northern Ireland. Both of these countries, in the
latter year, underwent a drop in their data, by 0.4% and 1% respectively.
