NIBAZ 65

MMA Electrodes
C-Mn and low-alloy steels

NIBAZ 65 is a low-alloyed basic coated MMA electrode with a very low hydrogen content. For reliable, crack-free
and tough welded joints on steels with a yield strength <500 Mpa. The weldmetal is of extremely high metallurgical
purity, is ageing-resistant, retaining ISO-V toughness to -60°C. For creep resistant applications up to P500 and
16Mo3 TENACITO Mo could be used.
NIBAZ 65 is a heavy covered nickel alloy basic electrode designed for welding fine grained structural steels, with
high yield strength, used at below – zero temperature down to -60°C. NIBAZ 65 deposits a metal with high
toughness at low temperature and also with low content of diffusible hydrogen. It welds with a stable arc; the slag
is easy to remove. The diffusible hydrogen content of metal places the electrode in class A, very low hydrogen
content- max.5ml/100g weldmetal. Weld metal recovery: RE =113%.
NIBAZ 65 is used extensively in offshore applications down to -60°C. Or for root runs using a high welding energy
down to -40°C. Excellent operabillity. 100% efficiency.
