registration details
I am currently Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. I am holding an AMC
Certificate (Certificate number XYZ), and I have passed both AMC part one (MCQ) as well as AMC
part two (Clinical). I am currently working as a Resident Medical Officer xyzzy hospital I have also
successfully completed my internship xyzzy and I have achieved great results in my internship
assessment performed at the end of each rotation. The results will be available upon your request.
2. A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of Good Health Care system.
I am passionate to embrace the values and missions of a good healthcare system in Australia. I am
dedicated to work hard to accomplish those missions. I believe that our mission as a healthcare
professional is to work hard with the multidisciplinary team of hospital which must lead to a patient
centred care with utmost compassion, empathy and understanding. This approach must be tailored
based on patients’ needs to meet their physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual
dimensions of being human. I understand that compassion, respect, dignity and justice are the core
values of Australian healthcare system. I am open and well prepared to work hard and raise my
standard to this excellence.
3. Demonstrated clinical and procedural experience adequate to undertake the duties required of
a Resident Medical Officer position.
I have demonstrated clinical and procedural skills that are essential to work effectively and safe as a
Resident Medical Officer. I have received excellent feedback at my current workplace as a Resident
Medical Officer in ABC ward in xyzzy hospital. I am more than happy to provide the reports issued by
my consultant upon request. I have also completed my internship with excellent feedback on my
assessments at each rotation. I am prepared to provide you with evidence and reports issued by
consultants upon completion of each rotation. All my supervisor consultants have been satisfied
with my performance and skills both clinical and procedural and they have provided me with
excellent comments. I have also passed my AMC clinical with a very satisfactory result. This exam is
an effective and reliable tool to assess the clinical skills of International Medical Graduates. In order
to know the health care system and hospital setting in Australia, I completed an observership at abc
hospital, for which I have achieved good feedback from Dr.xxxxx. I was very much interacting with
RMOs, Registrars and consultants and took every opportunity to perform different clinical and
procedural skills. I attended to ward early mornings and took history and physical exams of newly
admitted patients. I participated in ward rounds and I wrote medical notes that were signed by
RMO/ Registrars. Whenever that was not possible to perform some of these skills, I made sure to
observe my senior peers when performing those skills. I stayed afternoon and participated in
following up investigations, liaising with pathology, radiology, physiotherapy, and other allied health,
writing discharge summary and referral letters. Doing observership also helped me to update my
skills and to learn the expectation from an RMO in Australia. I feel confident that I am prepared to
work in RMO position as I know my strength and my limitation. I do not hesitate to ask help and
advice from my senior colleague and I understand that safe practice is number one priority for
doctors in Australia.
4. Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills to effectively
interact with patients, their families, and staff of all levels.
I have sound verbal and written English skills. I have completed my secondary and tertiary
qualifications in English. I am also holding a certificate of PTE/OET/ILETS with scores ABC. In my
position as an Intern, my verbal communication has been always with confidence, clarity and fluency
both with patients and their families, as well as caregivers. Recently, I consolidate my verbal and
written communications during my observership while taking history from patients, communication
with doctors, ward staff and allied health, and last but not the least, writing discharge summaries
and referral letters. During the past two years, I have been teaching at ABC Course for AMC Clinical
Exam. This involved, performing and mentoring role plays on various clinical scenarios, for which
sound verbal English is crucial. I have excellent feedback from xyzzy and he is very pleased with my
performance and communication skills.
During my work in as Resident Medical Officer in ABC Department of ABC Medical University and
internship in ABC UNIVERSITY, I have worked effectively in the multidisciplinary health care team at
hospitals. The same effectiveness was also demonstrated in during my observership at ABC
Department of ABC Hospital. I know how to fit my role into the team; and I regard to my
participation as an important part of the holistic approach of hospital care; which is patientcentred. I
believe that the key to effective teamwork includes good communication and interpersonal skills,
respect, diplomacy, good negotiation skills, and most importantly focusing on the needs of the
patient. As the result, I had great feedback on my current work, internship as well as my
observership.
I have been able to efficiently manage my time and organise workload by prioritising and assessing
patient management plans to determine and recognise emergency situations from those that do not
require immediate attention. I have been able to do this successfully by effectively communicating
with other team members including nurses and making notes of each patient’s requirements or
change in conditions as the situation arise.
I have attended numerous CPD activity course all of which are listed in my Resume. I have also
attended several Professional Development Training Course including Clinical Preparation Courses
held by both ABC and also multiple CPD activity courses held by ABC . I enjoy participating in
Professional Development and Training Courses and I strongly believe that is the only avenue for a
doctor to keep up to date with the current practice guidelines. I will certainly appreciate more GP
CPD training course and I am excited to participate in any course that could add to my knowledge
and skills. I have a strong commitment to the guidelines and regulations relating to clinical
governance in the Australian Healthcare system and I have demonstrated this in my AMC Exams and
assessments. As part of the conditions and requirement of my current registration, I regularly keep
up to date with any changes in clinical regulations and guidelines. I will make sure to complete my
hospital orientation and training in such a way that feel confident where to get information on
clinical governance in the time any query arises.
