3. During winter, why do Tashi and his family live on the ground floor?
Ans:Tashi's house has two floors. During winters, due to snowfall, the first floor becomes colder than
the ground floor. There are also no windows on the ground floor, so it remains warm. That's why
Tashi and his family live on the ground floor during winter.
4. For what do the people of Tashi's village use the roofs of their houses?
Tashi's village people use the roofs of their houses to dry fruits and vegetables during the summer
season so they can use them in the winter. They also dry cow dung cakes on the roofs, which are
