一、Product Introduction
C6L is a control system developed for fiber laser welding CNC equipment. It has the
characteristics of simple operation, high precision and high automation. The software runs
on the WINDOWS platform and works with the M4 control card to complete various
laser welding processes. The Ethernet connection between the PC and the M4 control card,
has the advantages of simple and stable communication, and fast transmission speed,
compared with similar products.

1、The system has the following characteristics:
1.1 The computer and the M4 control card are connected by a network cable, plug and
play, completely bid farewell Trouble with the PCI interface;
1.2. Support continuous and quasi-continuous fiber lasers and semiconductor lasers to
meet the control requirements of fiber lasers commonly used in the market. It can realize
the real-time follow-up processing speed of laser power, and realize the alarm of
abnormal alarm signals of Raycus laser and IPG laser.
1.3 4-axis linkage control, XYZA four-axis can be arbitrarily configured linear axis,
rotary axis, fastest return rotary axis, no return rotary axis;
1.4 High-precision motion control based on S-type acceleration model, higher precision,
faster processing speed, smoother motion, smaller machine impact, and improved
machine tool life.
1.5 easy to learn teaching mode, processing, idling, dot mode, support WYSIWYG of
line, circle, arc, curve processing path editing process;
1.6 open software PLC, IO free control, DA precise control, can realize the basic
automatic switching of the station, waiting for the specific conditions to trigger after the
processing, automatically skip the unprepared work steps during processing;
1.7 support a variety of processing documents, DXF, WTF, NC, TXT, PLT and other
documents;
1.8 advanced CAD drawing engine, providing rich graphics drawing and editing
functions;
1.9 Simple installation interface, the control card can be directly installed on the guide rail,
all adopt pluggable wiring ports, and the wiring is convenient;
1.10 dynamically expandable processing function inserts, such as hand wheel control,
round tube welding, etc.;
1.11 flexible user life and function module management, each M4 control card has a
unique ID number, which can be set according to the needs, which is convenient for
manufacturers to collect money flexibly.

2、system specifications
The M4 control card adopts the network cable interface. It is mounted and fixed with
35MM rail mounting. The external dimensions are 255mm*120mm. Minimum operating
system requirements for the system operating environment, CPU clocked at 1GHz,
memory 1G, hard disk 10G, 1 Gigabit LAN port; operating system supports Windows XP,
Windows 7, Windows 10.
二 、 the interface layout introduction
After the software is started, the software enters the main interface. The software interface
is divided into several functional sections, and each section works in coordination to
achieve automatic welding.
1. Software name and version number: display the software name and current software
version number.
2. menu function area: menu is divided into "new", "open", "save", "save as",
“Teaching”, “Drawing”, “Process Settings”, “Processing Parameters”, “IO Status”,
“Advanced”, “About”, “Exit”.
(1) New: Create new graphic data. If the original data is useful data, please save

(2) Open: The software can support the import of multiple files such as: DXF, WTF, NC,
TXT,PLT.
(3) Save: Edit the normal running graphic data on the software and save it to the running
computer. Make the file name so that the random name is easy to be overwritten by the
random name saved later. It is convenient to use it at any time. The save format is WTF.
(4) Save as: Similar to the save function, save the DXF format in addition to saving the
WTF.
(5) Teaching: Teaching is the most commonly used drawing software in welding software.
Through the WYSIWYG mode, the trajectory drawing of arbitrary curves in three-
dimensional space can be realized. Click the “Teach” button to enter the teaching
programming mode. The letter symbol on the button is the keyboard shortcut (as shown
below):
◎Processing (I): It means that the path of the section is the processing path, and both the
laser and the gas valve will be hit simultaneously.
Open
◎ empty walk (O): means that the path is an empty path, the laser and gas valve will be
closed;
◎ single welding (P): means that the path needs laser spotting at the node;

◎ straight line (A): increase the current welding joint coordinate point to a straight line
type node, two Point into a line;
◎ arc (S): increase the current welding joint coordinate point to an arc type node three
points into an arc;
◎ full circle (D): increase the current welding joint coordinate point to a full circle type
node, three points into a full circle;
◎ curve (F): increase the current welding joint coordinate point to a full circle type node,
three points into a curve;
◎ Forward (<): Make the previous node the current active node, and the welding head
moves to the previous node position;
◎Backward shift (>): Make the next node the current active node, and the welding head
moves to the next node position;
◎ Modify (N): delete the current active node;
◎ delete (M): reset the coordinates of the current active node to the coordinates of the
current welding head;
◎Rework: Clear the current teaching data and teach from the beginning;
◎Completion: Complete the teaching process, generate teaching data as processing data;
enter the processing mode.
(6) Drawing: Click the button to enter the drawing interface, which provides the
commonly used drawing tools (as shown below):

Under the various welding tools, if there is a description of the downward small triangle

The selected segmentation tool provides a convenient operating experience for your
drawings. For example, the following figure:
Functions commonly used in the editing of welding graphics such as "straight line",
"rectangle" and "circle"
"Single point" "over welding" "sort". The drawing function can be experienced by using the
software and is proficient in using this function.
◎ single point: can draw points directly in the software drawing and the software can
recognize this point, providing a graphical basis for the continuous laser to complete the
pulse management;
◎ Over-welding: During the welding process, the starting point and the end point of some
workpiece welding will fall at the same point, and the starting point and the end point will be
too large in actual power due to the acceleration and deceleration of the motion, and a hole
will be formed at the same point. , often do a little over-welding staggered starting point and
end point; some processes will also be caused by the slow rise and fall of the energy caused
by the starting point, the end point is not welded or the welding strength is not enough, this
time also needs to be welded to compensate; click over welding The icon appears as shown

Figure (1) is to increase the over-welding length can be freely set, Figure (2) is over-
welding
If you feel that it is too long or too short or does not need over-welding, you can choose
to remove the over-weld.
(7) Process setting: Each machining path has its own process attribute (ie, graphic
attribute), and the machining path (ie, graphic) can be set to a certain layer as needed.
Then set the properties of the graphic, that is, the process parameters. The interface is as
follows:
The software provides 8 color blocks and can edit 8 different graphic motion properties.
Graphic motion attribute editing method: Select the target graphic, click the color block
above to set the selected graphic to the specified layer. The graphic is displayed in the
layer color it belongs to. Each layer has its own way of setting up the process.
General process:
◎This layer is not processed: When this option is enabled, the outline of the layer will
be skipped directly without processing;
◎Processing speed: the speed of the platform movement when processing the contour of
the layer, the maximum speed

◎PWM duty cycle (%): the maximum output power of the laser output laser, ie the
PWM value;
◎ Laser frequency (Hz): The frequency of the laser output. Available in laser frequency

◎Peak current(%):The percentage of set Max.output compared to the laser source quoted power;
◎Start light delay (ms):Before laser beam comes out,the system delay time ;
◎After light delay (ms):After laser beam comes out , the system delay time.At this
period ,the moving table will stay,not move ;
◎Close light before delay (ms):Before closing laser beam ,system delay time ;
◎Close light after delay (ms):Before closing laser beam, the moving table will stay,not
move;
◎Open gas delay (ms):Before opening gas , system delay time ;
◎No close gas in process:At the whole process ,no matter the stage of empty move or the
process ,the gas system valve will not close ,keep open until the process is finished .
Advaned technology parameter(As the below photo shows) :
◎Starting power gently up :This function can choose “Disable/Time/Lenth” .In
welding ,setting the proper parameter , as to make sure that there is no welding hole at the
first welding spot .

Disble:Close this function。
Delay open light length(mm)/time(s):When the laser source starts motivate the laser
beam ,at this period the table moving length/time .This function is for reducing the output
spots stay time at the start point ,as to against the over heat at this point ,then lighten the
start point welding hole .
The Min.power ratio ( % ): when laser source is working,the power of the first laser
beam .Normally the min.power ratio is 10%.If below this value ,the laser source cannot
output laser beam.
Length(mm)/Time(s)
:the length/time from the min.power ratio to the normal graph layer
setted working power .
◎Finish power gently down:This function can choose “Disable/Time/Lenth” .In
welding ,setting the proper parameter , as to make sure that there is no welding hole
at the final welding spot

In advance closing the light length ( mm ) /time ( s ) : When the laser source finishes
motivate the laser beam ,at this period the table moving length/time .This function is for
reducing the output spots stay time at the finish point ,as to against the over heat at this
point ,then lighten the finish point welding hole .
The Min.power ratio(%)
:Normally set this value as 0。
Length( mm )/Time( s ): the length/time from the to the normal setted working power to
min.power ratio .
◎Pre-heating process : Special welidng material process can open this functon ,as to
avoid the rapid hotness or coldness to bring the tear when welding ;
◎Offering wire : Normally laser welding adopts the autogenous welding.In particular
application ,it needs the welding wire fill the room.

Laser power curve setting
When the “Adjust laser power/frequency according to speed in real time” option is
enabled, the laser power and frequency in the whole process will be automatically
calculated according to the set speed/power curve during machining (as shown below):
(8) Processing parameters: It contains some basic parameter settings, including
"manual control", "motion control", "machining control" (as shown below):

◎Manual control: The laser energy parameter setting during manual control is different
from automatic.
◎Motion control: The motion speed of the platform in the non-machining motion state is
different from the "machining speed" in the automatic time layer parameter, "overall
acceleration and overall acceleration time" refers to the acceleration and acceleration time
of the platform motion during idling or automatic operation.

◎Machining control: Before the machining, the welding head is welded in a non-return
setting. The welding head is randomly used as the starting point for welding (careful
selection). The automatic control of the shutter is to automatically open the shutter before
processing, because firstly the laser source must turn on shutter, then the laser light just
can come out (recommended).
(9) Status: Real-time reaction output (DO), input (DI), motion axis, the signal status of
DA/PWM (as shown below).
(10) Advanced: This function is the basic setting for motion control. Do not set the
operation for the device user.
( 11 ) About: Display the software version number, provide the software decryption
entry. If the software locks, click “Activate” to enter the activation code in the interface.
The activation code is composed of 20 uppercase letters. The middle crossbar can be input
without input (as shown below).

3. System status area: display axis coordinates, platform moving speed, and PWM and
DA output value is used to confirm the real-time status of peripherals such as laser source
and proportional valves (as shown below).
4.System alarm area: display all current alarm status of the system, the user can make
corresponding resolution operation based on the alarm information.
5.Graphic editing display area: Display and edit processing graphics.

6.System message area: Display the running status of the software, such as: expected
completion time, actual processing time. PLC function editing setting function.
