1.1 INTRODUCTION OF THE STUDY

Practice is a process of learning and understanding the sequence of program activities. It

is the application of knowledge it gives people an awareness of rules and procedures to guide
their behavior. It attempts of improve their performance of the current job on prepare them for an
intended job.
Organizational growth needs to be measured with the individual growth. The concern for
the organizational visibility that is adapted to a changing environment growth and development
has to be seen in the context of the change.
Employee training tries to improve skills or add to the secondary level of knowledge so
that the employee is better equipped to do this present job or to prepare him for higher position
with increased. Responsibilities however individual growth is not an end in itself
An internship is job training for white-collar and professional careers. Internship for
professional careers is similar in some ways to apprenticeships for trade and vocational jobs, but
the lack of standardization and oversight leaves the term open to broad interpretation. Interns
may be college or university students, high school students, or post-graduate adults. These
positions may be paid or unpaid and are usually temporary.
Generally, an internship consists of an exchange of services for experience between the
student and an organization. Students can also use an internship to determine if they have an
interest in a particular career, create a network of contacts or gain school credit. Some interns
find permanent, paid employment with the organizations for which they worked.
This can be a significant benefit to the employer as experienced interns often need little
or no training when they begin regular employment. Unlike a trainee program, employment at
the completion of an internship is not guaranteed. The modern concept of internship essentially
springs from the medieval apprenticeship, in which skilled laborers (often craftsmen) would
teach a young person their trade and, in exchange, that person would agree to work for the
teacher for a certain length of time.

CHAPTER II

2.1 INDUSTRY PROFILE

INTRODUCTION

Organic farming refers to a method of agriculture that uses fertilizers made from animal
and plant wastes and other biological materials. Recognizing the environmental harm of
traditional farming, which used chemical pesticides and fertilizers, scientists, saw that farming
conditions could benefit from the use of animal manures, crop rotation, cover crops, and natural
pest controls.

RECENT TRENDS OF THE INDIA ORGANICS INDUSTRY

India Neem Extracts market owes its growth to the factors like a rising adaptation of the
neem extract for the production of various pharmaceutical products, nutraceuticals, cleaning
agents, etc. Moreover, the demand for herbal and organic consumer goods is also supporting the
growth of the market in the upcoming five years. Additionally, the advantages of neem extract
are supporting the market growth along with the rising consumer inclination toward using
products based on neem extract.
The India neem extract market segmentation is based type, application, competition
landscapes, and regional distribution. Based on application, the market is further differentiated
into pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, personal care, agriculture and farming, food & beverage,
and others. Personal care is expected to hold the largest revenue shares of the market segment of
application of the neem extracts and drive the growth can be accounted to the rising demand for
personal care product with neem extract as the main ingredient of the commercial product.
Research and technological advancements have made it possible for experts to provide
the goodness of neem in personal care products like soaps, body washes, shampoo, facial kits,
and others. The rising inclination of the population toward herbal and organic products for their
personal care is actively driving the growth of the market in the next five years. Pharmaceuticals
and nutraceuticals are expected to register the fastest growing CAGR growth in others.

4
BUDGED ALLOCATION FOR ORGANICS INDUSTRY

The Indian organic industry is hoping that their demands are met in the Union Budget
2023-24, which is scheduled to be presented by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in
parliament on February 1. 2023, made some announcements related to the agriculture sector,
which can help upscale organic/natural farming in India.
If translated into actions with adequate budgetary support, adequate budgetary support,
and these announcements can help farmers transition to chemical-free agriculture.
India currently has 4.43 million organic farmers, according to the Economic Survey
2022-23. The Union Budget 2023-24 aims to help 10 million farmers to adopt natural farming
over the next three years. The budget allocation to National Mission on Natural Farming is still
unclear, as it is not mentioned in the budget.
The latest budget announced the establishment of Bhartiya Prakritik Kheti Bio-Input
Resource Centers. Under this, 10,000 bio-input resource centers will be set up to create a
national level micro fertilizer and pesticide manufacturing network. Farmers face various
challenge while transitioning to organic/nature farming, including a lack of knowledge, non-
availability of quality organic and bio-inputs, as well as a lack of market support to get fair and
remunerative prices, according to a study by the Delhi-based non-profit centre for Science and
Environment.
The second important announcement is about PM-PRANAAM-PM Programmer for
Restoration, Awareness, Nourishment and Amelioration of Mother Earth. Under this scheme,
states will be incentivized to reduce chemical fertilizer consumption.
The third important announcement is about GOBARdhan (Galvanizing Organic Bio-
Agro Resources Dhan) scheme. Under this, 500 new ‘Waste to Wealth’ plants will be established
to promote a circular economy.
These will include 200 compressed biogas plants and 300 community or cluster-based
plants at Rs 10,000 crore. Fiscal support will be provided for the collection of bio-mass and
distribution of bio-manure. These will support promoting organic fertilizers in India
An announcement has also been made to make India a global hub of ‘Shree Anna’-a term
used for millet Research, Hyderabad, will be supported as the Centre of Excellence for sharing
best practices, research and technologies.

5
Millets are known for their lower water and fertilizer requirement as well as health
benefits. However, no specific budgetary allocations are mentioned in this regard and it is not
clear if adequate funds will be allocated.
Another announcement that came from the minister was regarding an Agriculture
Accelerator Funds to bring innovative and affordable solutions for challenges faced by farmers.
It also aims to bring in modern technologies to transform agricultural practices, increase
productivity and profitability. However, specific provisions should be made for promoting
chemical free sustainable agriculture under this fund.
Computerization of 63,000 Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) is initiated with
an investment of Rs 2,516 crore. Model bye-laws for PACS were formulated, enabling them to
become multi-purpose. The plan is to set up massive decentralized storage capacity.
The need of the hour is to engage in the market support to organic or natural farmers.
Earlier, it was announced by the government that the cooperative AMUL would engage in the
marketing, distribution and testing of organic or natural farming produce in the country to help
farmers.
Atmanirbhar Horticulture Clean Plant Program, with an outlay of Rs 2,200 crore, is also
announced. A cluster-based and value chain approach through public-private partnership to
enhance the productivity of cotton crops is also announced.
A new sub-scheme of Pm Mastsya sampada Yojana with targeted investment of Rs
6,000crore is also announced. The promotion of chemical-free sustainable agriculture in India is
the need of the hour. However, mare announcements are not sufficient, and much more work on
the ground is needed with adequate budgetary allocations and effective implementation of
programs on the ground.
There has been a demand to introduce Organic Price Stabilization Funds Scheme to deal
with volatility that comes from time in the price organic. The scheme has suggested an interest
subsidy of 5 per cent, reduction of margin money from 25 per cent to 5 cent and an increase of
credit limit from 3 months to 9 months. This will increase the growth rate of the organic industry
by 2-3 per cent. It has also been recommended to make allocation in the budget for National
Organic Fund which is under active consideration on the Ministry of Organics.

ORGANIC MATERIAL FERMENTATION PROCESS

Which play the preliminary but indispensable role in the whole production line. Two
main types of compost turner are widely used to turn and mix the compost and accelerate the
fermentation speed, Self –propelled compost turner and hydraulic compost turner.

CRUSHING PROCESS

The compost lump material should be grinded before the granulating process. But we
can leave out crushing process when the compost material is fine enough. Vertical chain crusher
and double-shaft horizontal crusher, two types of crushing machine can be used to crush lump
compost fertilizer raw materials.

MIXING PROCESS

Two types of mixing machine are applied to mix raw materials in the fertilizer production
line: horizontal mixer and vertical mixer.

DRYING PROCESS

When granulating, the moisture of fertilizer raw materials should be less than 25%, so we
should dry the raw materials if the moisture is more than 25%.Rotary drum drying machine is
mainly used for drying the fertilizer with a certain degree of humidity and particle size.

ROTARY DRUM COOLING MACHINE

This is used for cooling fertilizer to make fertilizer particles stronger.

ROTARY DRUM SCREENING MACHINE

This is used to separate the granules from the large particles which need to be returned
for the second crushing and granulating. Rotary drum coating machine is used to coat the
fertilizer and prevent the fertilizer from sticking together.

present in the monthly performance indicators and the accounts that recorded the material sent to
and received from the outworkers employed in fertilizer.

PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF THE PLANT

The Plant & Machinery required for the fertilizer organic process for manufacturing of
different fertilizer are blow room machinery, metal detection system, spark diversion system,
carding machines, card accessories, draw frame (Finisher & Breaker), speed frame, combers,
ring frame, electrical infrastructure, etc

6.2 CONCLUSION

The SPS Organics , practical training that I have got in various departments like
Production, Human resource Department, Marketing department and finance department has
helped me to draw line of delinestion between the class room theory and in plant practice.

It is understood that allt the theory taught in the four walls cannot be executed pracitally.
In a similar fashion all paractice cannot be put in the form of theory.

I am understood that to say that the training under gone in SPS Organics was very
interesting and also very useful. I am happy to express that this training will help to execute
similar work in any organization with full of confidence.
