Stay alert and cross the street,

Then, walk on down the block!

1.3 REINFORCEMENT AND CONCLUSION

As a reinforcement for improvement, the teaching done by the teacher is

structured well. This is because teachers have organized activities for all the skills that
are important for children to learn such as listening, reading and writing. In addition,
teachers have used teaching methods from easy to difficult. He has started by showing
children’s videos on road signs and descriptions of road signs to stimulate children
with this topic. Then, stimulate children's minds with role-playing activities so that
children can connect with the videos they watch about road signs during the induction
session. Next, reading activities alone with the teacher for children to better
understand and remember. Finally, the activity of writing and guessing the road signs
that the teacher shows. This affects children to better understand the topics taught by
the teacher.

The teaching and learning objectives set are clear and specific and appropriate
to the topic according to the child's ability for the age of 5 years. In fact, teachers do
not set the same objectives with the knowledge that children already have so that
children can learn new things instead of learning the same things.

Teaching Aids (ABM) used are suitable for teaching and learning for this topic
but children's role name tags need to be improved by adding role pictures such as
traffic police, passengers and bus drivers so that children can more easily understand
their respective roles.

Teachers have implemented teaching and learning methods and techniques

using a communicative approach. An approach that focuses on good and ethical forms
of communication such as children need to speak up front using good language,
thanks to teachers and friends giving support to friends who speak up front.

Teachers have done teaching and learning methods and techniques by doing
learning activities derived from the theme. He conducts activities related to road
safety based on the theme of public facilities. In addition, teachers use a
communicative approach. An approach that focuses on good and ethical forms of
communication such as children need to speak up front using good language, thanks
to teachers and friends giving support to friends who speak up front.

Based on observations, there are weaknesses that occur during the teaching
and learning process. Among them is the control of the classroom during the activity.
A 5-year-old is an active child and has a very high curiosity and is easily excited
about something new. Therefore, teachers should plan strategies to ensure the control
of children in the classroom runs smoothly so that the objectives can be achieved.

For example, during role-playing activities children are excited to act out their
actions especially when they have entered the loop to become a bus formation. They
are excited to move through the fake roads made by teachers. So, teachers need to
make a fake road by starting in front of the classroom entrance. So, children will be
ready outside the classroom without seeing the fake roads and equipment prepared by
the teacher. In fact, most children do not listen to the teacher's instructions. Therefore,
teachers need to use a microphone to speak so that the teacher's voice is heard by all
children and gets attention from them. In addition, teachers need to arrange children
who are passengers from low to high so that they can all see the situation played by
the traffic police, mothers and school children.

Based on observations, after the role-playing activities were done, it was

found that children understand road safety, especially when crossing the road. But,
there are some children who still do not understand the function of some road signs
that are quite confusing to them such as road sign 'No entry' and 'One-Way Street'.
Later, after the children did the reading activity, the children understood better and the
teacher found that only a few children could read the phrase road signs at the
beginning of the reading session. Teachers need to repeat the phrase so that children
can read the phrase road signs and then be able to remember and understand about the
road signs read. Once the writing activity is carried out, most children can write the
phrase correctly. Finally, the activity of mentioning road signs indicated by the
teacher can increase children's understanding and memory about road signs

In conclusion, effective teaching and learning lesson plans have a huge

impact on teachers and children. In fact, a good and smooth teaching and learning
process can make children get the best knowledge and all the knowledge poured by
the teacher can be acquired and practiced by children in daily life
