Luggage Packing.
Baggage that would be Checked In (Check In Bags)
Baggage Allowed.

20 Kgs in Check In Bag.


You can carry up to 25 Kgs along with weight of the Check in Bag. So Pack 20 Kgs categorized as must take items and another up to 5 kgs stuff which can be left if they do not agree. You can have all of them in the Check in Bag.

Baggage that would be carried along with you (Carryon Bags) 8 Kgs in Cabin Bag.
You can carry up to 10 Kgs in Cabin Bag along with its weight. Over and above the free baggage allowance, the items mentioned in Annexure I are also allowed to be carried in the cabin of the aircraft, free of charge: So you can also carry

2-4 Kgs in Hand Bag


And carry one blanket, Books if any, separately in your hand till check in process is completed.

Baggage Item Restrictions


Do not carry any of the below in Carryon Bags

Knives (including hunting knives, swords, and pocket knives) Scissors and any other sharp/bladed objects (e.g. ice-pick, nail clippers) considered illegal by local law Toy guns/gun shaped items or look-alikes, hand-cuffs Aerosols (hair sprays, perfumes, medicines containing alcohol) not exceeding 0.5KG/L per article and 2.0KG/L in total weight

Please carry the below only in Carryon Bags Valuable Items like Jewelry, Silverware or Money Valuable Documents

Luggage Identification
For easy Identification of your luggage items, Tag each of the check in bags with similar ribbon (You can use a two coloured ribbon) as shown beside.

Also for Additional Identification you can have the address printed and pasted on both sides of the check in Bags. For Our Address Please see Annexure III

Required Documents to carried along with you.


Your Passport . Your Travel Visa (In Principal Approval Letter) E-Ticket Without this you will not be allowed into the airport for Check in. This Document. (Carry the Important Annexures)

One last check while Leaving Home.

Airport Check In
I have already done the Internet Check in for you (selected your seat and Meals). You have to go to the check in counters with all your bags as shown below.

Give them your Passport and In Principal approval Letter(Visa). Check in the luggage bag. They will check the weight, key in your details into the system; tag the Luggage bag with Luggage Identifier sticker as shown below. As you see the luggage identifier sticker will be having a number.

Baggage Number

The bag would be carried away to your Flight on a BELT. They will give you a ticket (BOARDING PASS) and attach to it a luggage identifier sticker (which will have the same number as the Sticker on the luggage bag Checked in). The BOARDING PASS resembles something like our MOVIE ticket as shown beside. It will be printed with your Name, ETicket No, Flight No, Date, Boarding Time, Seat No, Gate

No, etc

They will give you a Disembarkation card which you need to fill in as explained in next topic. Also please remember to collect luggage tags for Carried on Bags and tag them to the Carryon bags.

Immigration for Disembarkation Form( Departure Card) India (Annexure VI)


The Disembarkation form resembles like the one shown below. You need to fill the Disembarkation form (Departure Card) with your details as below. (Annexure VI) 1. Name : ANKEM BALA RUKMINI 2. Sign the Form. You need to carry the Filled Disembarkation form to the Immigration Counter. They will verify you with your Passport and Visa details and put a stamp on your Passport as below. Then you can proceed to Security Check in.

Security Checking
You need to put all your carryon bags into the Security scanner. Once they pass through the Scanner, the Security personnel will stamp the Tags which are tagged to the Bags.

Please hold in your hand your passport and BOARDING PASS and get through the metal detector. After that they will do a manual Check with the hand held metal detector. Once they are done, they will Stamp your BOARDING PASS on both Sides LEFT and RIGHT. Thats it. Your Security Check In is done. Please check again that all the tags on the carryon bags are stamped and your BOARDING PASS is also stamped. If not ask the Security Personnel to Stamp it. (Which means you have passed the security Check)

Boarding Flight
Now you need to walk to the GATE NO as printed on BOARDING PASS. You can look around/ahead for Directions. If not, Please feel free to ask for Directions to anybody around you.

Once you have reached the Gate no. You can remain seated till the announcement is made for your Flight. (Boarding of MI475 has started). Then you have to stand in a queue and go through the Gate. Please show your passport and BOARDING pass to Flight Attendants. They will check, cut your Boarding Pass and give you the Cut piece as shown beside (just like they do in Movie theatres).

Carry your carryon bags and board the flight. The Seats in the Flight will be as shown below. Show your BOARDING PASS to Flight attendant in the Flight and they will take you to your seat. The inside of the flight will be as shown below.

Inside the Flight


The inside of the flight will be as shown above.

Put your Cabin Bag on the Top Baggage Shelf or ask the attendant to assist in putting the luggage bag. You can have the hand bag with you.

Seating Guidelines
Please be seated comfortably and fasten your seat belt. There is no need to fasten it very tightly. Pay attention to Flight attendant instructions. Even if you do not understand the language, you can get the content by their actions.

Flight Take Off


Your Flight takes off. You will not feel any discomfort. A small dizziness feeling would be there. Ignore it and you will be comforted. If you need anything or feeling any discomfort please feel free to press the flight attendant button on the top as shown below.

Once you press the button, a flight attendant comes to assist you. You can ask your co passenger to assist you in Telugu.

Food.
After the flight takes off, an attendant will come to you asking for what drink you need. You can ask for Water, Apple juice, Orange juice. After some time they would get the food to you. I have ordered Indian Vegetarian for you. You can have it. It looks like below.

You can go to the Toilet in the Flight by following the symbols. You can sleep after that. You can push your chair a bit back for sleeping comfortably. For doing this by pressing the buttonon your seat handle and pushing your chair back or ask you co passenger to assist.

Flight Landing
The Captain will make an announcement that the flight is going to Land. Please make your seat upright and have your seat belt fastened. You may feel a small dizziness. Ignore it and your First Flight Journey is completed. Welcome to Singapore. Flight attendant would be also giving you a Embarkation Form as shown below.

Collecting Hand baggage


Collect all your personal belongings. Collect your carryon bag, your Hand Bag and get down the Flight. You will enter a Flight Stair bridge which will lead you to Airport. You can follow others to Immigration in Singapore.

Immigration for Embarkation in Singapore (Annexure VI)


Please fill the Embarkation Form as explained in Annexure VI. Ask your co passenger to assist you in filling the Form. You can sign it after they fill it for you.

Carry the filled form, your passport, Travel Visa (In Principal Approval Letter) Boarding pass and stand in Queue for Immigration. They will check your passport, documents, verify you and Stamp on the passport and Give you half of the embarkation Form. Check

again that you have your passport stamped, and White Card(half of the embarkation Form). Put all those in your hand bag and go for Collecting you check in bag.

Collecting Checking Baggage


Look at the Computer ahead for Belt against your Flight or Ask someone for Belt No for your Flight. Go to that belt. It would look like below.

The Baggage Belt would look like below.

Collect your check in Bag and put into a Trolley as shown above and proceed for Exit. You may need to pass Customs Check. Come through CUSTOMS CHECKPOINT NOTHING TO DECLARE. Just put all your bags in a custom Scanner and collect all of them.

The Journey is Done.

Annexure I Items that can be carried Free of Charge with you


1. A lady's handbag, pocketbook or purse. 2. An overcoat, wrap or blanket. 3. A fully collapsible invalid's wheelchair, and/or pair of crutches, provided that the customer is dependent upon them. 4. A reasonable amount of reading material for the flight. 5. Infant's food for consumption in flight and infant carrying basket*, when infant is travelling. 6. An umbrella or walking stick. 7. A small camera and/or a pair of binoculars. Notebook & Laptop

Annexure II Items not allowed in Carry On Bags


Knives (including hunting knives, swords, and pocket knives) Scissors and any other sharp/bladed objects (e.g. ice-pick, nail clippers) considered illegal by local law Weapons such as whips, nan-chakus, baton, or stun gun Toys guns/gun shaped items or look-alikes, hand-cuffs Sporting equipment such as baseball/cricket bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks, billiard cues Devices with spillable batteries Aerosols (hair sprays, perfumes, medicines containing alcohol) not exceeding 0.5KG/L per article and 2.0KG/L in total weight Baby strollers Any other items which are deemed security hazards by local law Any other items that resemble or have similar functions to the above items
